Also, what about the TRT Xat? It's been inactive for months.

http://xat.com/CSTRT

It used to be used so well used, to complain and rant about trades, offers and just chitchat, however, it was inactive for about 6 months. No one used it. Since it's been inactive for over 3 months, it may or may not work anymore. Why not start up a new one? I was previously a mod on the inactive one.

We should try and make the TRT Xat active again.

Also in regards to replying to rants....

I've seen many players complain about NFT pets that aren't locked. Or trades that have overpay, or pets close to dates and match in year an rarity. It seems some players make a big deal about it.

I can understand ranting about items, since there is no way to "lock" your items, and yet have them viewable without anyone offering on them.

Do you agree that the no-reply rule should be removed? (Y/N)
No.
Brief description of your stance:
I do did wish the rule to be removed. However, before the rule was in place, I was smartmouthed at. The mods cannot always stop people being rude to one another. If people wish to chat, the Xat is available. Since nobody uses it, that's their own choice. Maybe instead you should remind people of the Xat chat.
If they aren't allowed to be on Xat, they can PM each other about it, but it doesn't belong in the thread. The thread gets enough traffic without excess comments. We don't need any more arguments or harassment.

I'll admit I didn't use the TRT xat ever but I did go onto the FTT one a few times. The only real problem with it was that it was very difficult to come in in the middle of a conversation and when those were popular I was on a computer with slow connection and it was very difficult for me to keep up. At the same time it's difficult to come into a conversation halfway through. It's great if you know the people who are on there - but for those who are less "known" users it's not always ideal.

I would like to see the xat go up again but I still think that's in a different category than replying on the thread.

I have to ask you, kristatheepic, do you happen to remember if the user(s) who were rude to you still frequent the thread? I'm not asking for names but I'm curious if you've seen them around lately. I've noticed a vast change in the usernames I see there since the rule came up so I have to admit that I think a lot of the people who came to pick fights have been pushed out with the no-reply rule.
Also - what was it you were harassed for? I'm sorry to hear that it happened but the more information we can get on trying to make this work out for everyone as best we can. Maybe if we knew the situation we would be able to come up with an idea for a different rule to help prevent it in the future. :)

Of course we'll never be able to stop people from being rude 100% of the time but I still believe that the term "forum" implies there should be a little room for discussion rather than just tacking up a list of bad trades.
Have a good day y'all.

1. I don't remember because it was a long time ago.
2. I was harassed for sending an "unfair" trade. They got me mixed up with somebody else that was ranted about and they were rude about it.

That's alright - I was just curious if you happened to remember.

Well harassment is never tolerated so if they really were rude to you the post(s) should have been reported. That and names were never supposed to be given either so I'm not quite sure how the incident happened. I'm really sorry to hear it but I think that that sounds like an usual case.

I know that some people are going to be impolite and we can't avoid that completely but it's like Patch mentioned - everyone lost their privileges from the actions of a few rude users and that isn't really fair to everyone else.
If it doesn't work out the mods could always reinstate the rule but I would like to at least give it a try. :)

Of course.
Brief description of your stance:
Well, the TRT indeed was a bit problematic before, but I think now it's even worse. It probably doesn't look like that, but if You remember the "old" TRT You'll understand my point. Nowadays I can't even quote someone's else rant admitting I have the same problem with trades as well and describing the situation without my post being reported by really active "minimods". Too big amount of spam or rude comments is never something good, but on the other side... Do we have to jump from extreme to extreme? Sometimes the ranters send really unfair trades and then rant about people not accepting them, but as we can't say anything, they keep thinking their trade was perfect and they're misinformed about the rarities, then perhaps keep spreading the wrong info. We don't want that, there's already a big problem with this on the Fair Trade Thread, right?
Moreover, if You can only rant about Yourself and not comment on the other rants - in my opinion TRT in this form is an unnecessary thread, for people who just want to whine about the trades they got/they sent and were cancelled... if there's no response (what in my mind is equal to the "Nobody cares!"), why would You want to post anything there in the first place?
I don't think mods will change their decision about the TRT rules since their decision about the "no-comments" rule shows already that they had no idea what to do with the thread to stop the fights that were, have to admit, quite common there. But if there's anything that can change this decision - it's definitely this topic. =)
Please excuse me any grammar mistakes. =)
After years of commitment to the site I was treated like a dirt, falsely accused and judged by almost everyone with no chance to explain. I do not see the point to stay here anymore, so it's a farewell!

Your life is important. Have a good one.

Do you agree that the no-reply rule should be removed? (Y/N) Yes, I do, very much.
Brief description of your stance: (1-2 sentences)
When I first joined, I was a COPPA, and I found the TRT very useful to my trading. The discussions other players had about bad trades helped me understand how to trade properly. When I was able to post, it was great to be able to discuss our bad trades with others. Since the new rule came in, the TRT is just a bunch of rants and no discussion. It just makes me kind of depressed.

There have been several times I've seen people "rant" about getting overpay offers on their event pets saying "Look at this crazy demand!" which to me sounds a lot more like they're excited about what they were offered than they are upset about demand.
Or I've also seen it where a user gets a fair trade that they just don't like so they post it as a rant?
I like your idea of gently pointing it out but like you said - some people take it really badly. I'm not sure what to do about that but it's definitely a good thing to bring up. :)

      Thank you. ^^
I was afraid I wouldn't get my point across, because when I try, I ramble. I get scared I'll annoy people without trying to. :3

Yes =v=

Although I understand why the rule was put in place, I believe people on the thread are much more mature about things and the TRT was never too crazy before. I used to use the TRT quite a bit because I liked to see what others had to say about terrible trades I had recieved and how they can symphatize with my pain in trading, but now that that's gone I kind of never really go there, I only post when I'm bored and receive a trade that angered me at that time, it's just not the same anymore ;v; I think the mods could at least do a trial, give us little time to prove we aren't little kids that'll spam and argue for no reason anymore, yknow ;v;

And also, it's not like anyone follows some of the more simpler rules, like not to rant about NFT/NEFT pets/groups that are open to offers. I could care less if your rules indicate to not offer on a NFT/NEFT pet, but if its in an open group, then anyone can offer on them, regardless if they're NFT, don't want offers, lock it, I don't like reading the TRT and seeing you complain about someone offing on pets that are in an open group, and are not for trade. If players want to see your collection, they can view it.
