i'm glad that we have the education and the awareness in this species to realize these issues are relevant and it's not okay to possess a hatred of a race, sexuality, or gender identity just because a character is based on a pet or a friend or something. there's also been heavy homophobia + transphobia in several forms in a certain species going unnamed at this time and the staff of said species doesn't do a thing about it due to their lack of understanding and will to follow the owner rather than speak up individually in fears of being kicked - like users have been before. (sorry about this mini rant - i needed to get this out with my two cents. u v u)

this has definitely made me love deersserts and the community so much more knowing of this awareness and intolerance for any bigotry, transphobia, or sexism floating around. thank you again; personally, this does mean much to me as a mere individual, and i'm sure to others too. <3

TL;DR: I'm going to have to cut back on mass-producing deer pixels because it's not good for my health.


I'm going to finish what I've set out to do, but I need to pace myself more efficiently. My wrists and my fingers are pretty strained already from all the minute exertions like writing and music that I do outside of pixel art. I'm on an electronic device for far too long in the day and I need to start removing myself from being glued to bright screens that hurt my eyes, also.

I might have a stream tomorrow, work on some hopping deer avatars for the community at a more leisurely pace, but I'm not going to be pressuring myself to produce an entire herd again in one sitting, because it's not healthy (these avatars are 3x bigger than the tiny hoppers, so it takes more work on my end, too).

I will also be offering a few "Little Buddies" like my own personal avatar to streamgoers, as a personal thank-you (assuming they don't already own one). They're not really anything I intended to distribute with emphasis, but I think they can turn out kinda cute or funny, depending on how you answer the 6 question questionnaire. xux

Mae and Shala just had little demigod [or something because Mae is the spirit of spring. so demigod, right?] babies, thanks to cry! So I'm here to introduce my fourth deer, Attwell. He's the one on the right, and he's so cute. eue His mother is mute and his father is deaf, so he never really learned to speak, so even though he has a voice, he doesn't really use it. I'm not too sure about his personality yet, but I'm thinking he's going to take after both his parents quite a bit. Shy and passionate like his mother, kind and stubborn like his father. He's not open for roleplays yet, but he's up for friends for now. Just pm me if you've got someone interested.

This... is definitely impacting a lot...and I was looking forward to adopting another deerssert sometime. Regardless, the rules are the rules, and running the risk of breaking it is only asking for trouble. I respect the staff, species, and community here too much to even attempt adopting another...

Sometimes I wish things were simple... but they aren't. Hopefully I can remain in the deerssert community. The temptation of adopting another one will be annoying, but it won't be unbearable. Regardless.... This rule effects so many things. I've typed over and over numerous paragraphs, complete essays even that try to explain, but nothing is coming out right. I lack the right communication skills... Apologies. I am lacking in words to fully depict the effects of this rule and it's outcome, who it effects and how it puts them in a checkmate, I suppose, including me. It's not a choice for people like me... I wish it were.

Gladly, though, Onigari's character structure falls between the lines perfectly. I'm overjoyed that I can keep my boy... just means I can only have my boy and no others. I'm content though... Onigari is sufficient.

Thank you for the notice. It at least lets me know so that I can preemptively set up boundaries to avoid breaking the rule.

Also so this isn't seen as a complete waste of space, my deerssert, Onigari, is always open to rps. Just pm me if you're interested. I really love interesting rps, and Onigari is an amoeba(metaphorically), so enemy, friend, both, neither, I'd love to roleplay him with someone and am open to plot suggestions.
