I caught my Zygarde after I killed it once with an Ultra Ball.

My fiancé told me to use Tyramtrums's Dragon Claw meanwhile Zygarde is Dragon himself. Haha. He turned into a rock-type second time around, but I caught him when my Mew Two was almost dead after 5 or 6 Ultra Balls. :3

i just realized that i'm not really sure what i'm gonna do with my old charizard once this one is 100...

not sure whether to keep it or give it away or trade it for something else. D;

ugh, i just beat the elite four and i'm currently trying to catch zygarde, i caught him with my first pokeball on my first two tries, but i'm soft resetting for adamant and i keep either killing him or eventually getting killed by him because he breaks out of everything i throw at him. it's really weird because i feel like i have better luck with regular pokeballs? i can almost always get two shakes on a pokeball, but i'm lucky to even get one on an ultra ball - and his health has been red every time i've tried to catch him. it's turning out to be a real pain tbh and i'm not even sure if it's worth it since i don't think i'll actually use him ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ

Perhaps you could try using Dusk Balls? They have a 3.5x chance of catching a Pokemon at night or in a cave, while Ultra Balls only have a 2x chance (both compared to regular Pokeballs). So, nearly double the chance of catching it.

I used to exploit the Dusk Ball's capabilities all the time back in Diamond since I tended to play at night...USE DUSK BALLS ON THE EVERYTHING!!! ...*cough* > .>

i don't think i have any dusk balls, but thanks for the tip, i'll have to go get some to use on the other legendaries. but i'll try with pokeballs first just for the hell of it, i have this weird thing where it really really bothers me if my pokemon aren't in regular pokeballs? dumb idk. but i literally just caught adamant zygarde. it took like ~3 hrs i think? it was pretty intense, not at all what i expected since it took me just under an hour to catch xerneas with the right nature and it was with a pokeball to boot. i think i probably was just unlucky, but now i guess i'll go after mewtwo and moltres... i'm really not sure what nature i should run on mewtwo, it depends on if i'll use it as m-mewtwo x i guess. i really prefer m-mewtwo y though haha so i may just run timid and not mega evolve it ?_?

Ah, I kinda get what you mean. I like certain Pokemon in certain balls, so I know that feeling of wanting to use a specific capture method. Admittedly, I've had times where the Pokemon will seem to get "immune" to Ultra Balls (not even a single shake) and then I'll toss a Pokeball and it'll catch somehow...some sort of Poke-voodoo, I guess. XD As for Xerneas, I think it just has a good capture rate -- I caught mine with a Quick Ball on the first turn, and I mean, Quick Balls are, like, 5x on the first turn, but that's still pretty good for a Legendary. I like that I got it with a Quick Ball because it matches Xerneas -- blue with a yellow X-like accent. ^.^ But man, Mewtwo is...well, I found it kinda annoying to catch, mostly because I kept getting Criticals on it when it was just at half-health and killing it. Honestly, I wish I could exchange my Mewtwonite X for a Mewtwonite Y. I really don't see the point of giving such a Special-specialized Pokemon a Mega Evolution that favors Physical attacks...but maybe that's just me. Only thing I really like about Mega Mewtwo X is the Fighting-secondary type, just to protect it from possibly bad type match-ups. Similarly, kinda wish I had Charizarite Y instead of Charizarite X since I tend to favor Special attacks on my Charizard, though again the different type match-up is useful sometimes.

I caught a Mewtwo on the first ultra ball. Zygarde on the 2nd, and Xerneas with a masterball.
