What do you use to come up with names for your characters? Any websites, generators you can offer up? What aspect of the character do you base the name of?

I always try to give my character names that mean something to me, like Hakai - mean destruction, but also it is element of death of one on my favorite anime characters Grimmjow (Bleach), Zaitsev was inspired by Zaytsev, a Italian volleyball player (actually i don't really like the person, but i love volleyball xD), Hotaru - firefly, i give her that name because i love my memories when i was i child and i was hunting fireflies with my cousins, Red - my favorite color, so also one of my chcracter is named Red etc.

Sometimes also i look at the character and think about the first letter that comes into my mind, and i use it as a first letter of the character name. I dont really use any generator etc.

And i love to invite names for characters, places, etc. xD Its one of my strange addicions, i even have a 64-pages nootebook full of names that i can use anytime, so... never lacking names characters xD

What do you use to come up with names for your characters? Any websites, generators you can offer up? What aspect of the character do you base the name of?

I like naming characters after gods/constellations/stars a lot of the time, but I also like the names to be practical.
for example, Bastet rolls off the tongue very well and sounds really nice
I have a lot of trouble naming characters because they need to fit the personality, as well as be audibly pleasing. I don't like assembling random mixes of letters, and I try to avoid things that sound remotely Asian because of how common and unappealing they are to me (especially since anime is so huge and has made the names so common). Osaka has been my only exception to this rule, mostly because of the song Lovers in Japan though.
Sometimes I just name characters off of things about them, such as Pastel, who is a nice creme color and is a sweet little puppy.
I also have two characters with the same name, Vega. One just happened to be a character I couldn't stay away from and she was prenamed.
