Completed challenge: Hello! my name is PFDC. my hometown is in Michigan, and I have lived there my whole life. dogs are cute, and my dog's name is Ruby. she is super cute, and my family has had her for a year now. The high school attended by my brother and me is HUGE! If it was bigger, it'd be the size of a state!

What was easy: talking about myself

What was hard: not using "I"

What you learned: how to describe things without repeating the same word over and over

The young cat walked through the forest, careful not to attract any attention. Eventually she sat down, exhausted. She got back up and continued on walking. Soon she saw the figure of a cat on a hill near her, then it bounded down the hill and stopped in front of her. The she cat tilted her head and looked at this strange cat curiously. "Who're you?", she asked. "Spark", he answered. "And you?", the she cat thought before answering. "Daisy, call me 'D'". She hated being called Daisy. It was such an innocent sounding name, but not D. The 2 talked some more, and soon became great friends. "Gotta go, I'll be back in a minute.", she said. Then she bounded away.

Completed challenge My username is No Going Back, and though my mother gave birth to me in England I've lived in Scotland for all but a year of my life. Though my mother dislikes animals, somehow we've managed to accumilate one dog (the most beautiful labradoodle named Harley) a whole colony of snails (though she draws the line when it comes to having them in the house- they're stuck in our garage) and a somewhat senile maincoone named Pom. Animals mean the world to me. Unfortunately, at this time it's impossible for me to attend school regularly due to my CFS (Chronic Fatigue Sydrome) so at the moment doing work from my bed is the norm.

What was easy I knew exactly what I wanted to say, but...

What was hard...it took some time to think around the "only one 'I'" rule.

What you learned even when you think you're varying your language, it's surprising how many common words you repeat because it's easier to do than think of an alternative.

Completed challenge:
My passion is horseback riding, and through that love, I have discovered the wonders of an organization known as Dream Riders. It is a thearapeutic riding program that my father led me to nine years ago, and since then, my family has been involved with the instructors, riders, and horses. It is an opprotunity that has provided me with a lot of experience, and even a horse who is a blessing just on his own. In addition to Victor, my appaloosa horse, my family has also bought a black lab who is as energetic as any puppy although she's ten years old. Of course with school work, getting to spend time with my beloved pets often is a bit of a challege.

What was easy: After narrowing down the idea of what I wanted to talk about, it was fairly easy to write. The topic idea isn't hard, but broad.

What was hard: Writing in first person without the use of the pronoun 'I', and expressing clear, personal ideas in a coherent way that the reader is likely to understand. Narrowing down my life into just a few sentences is relatively challenging in and of itself.

What you learned: We tend to take for granted the way in which we express ourselves to someone else. With the limit on the word 'I' it is easy to stray slightly off-topic as well
