How developed or undeveloped are the majority of your characters?
I have 172 (I've downsized so much!!!) and 72 of them are 100% developed. I'm hoping to get the rest developed by January 1, 2014!

Are most/some of your characters similar in personality? If so what traits/personality is it?
hm. All my characters care about the ones they're close to, though for some, its a bit harder to notice.
Most of my characters aren't goody goody either, even if its just a small portion of their personality, while for others, it takes a much bigger percentage of theirs'.

I notice i have a lot of protective, possessive, snarky/sarcastic characters, and a lot of goofy lovable oafs. I tend to base some of my character's personality off of my own, or my cats, so they tend to have similar qualities now and then. But not all of my characters would get along let alone tolerate each other x.x theres a good number i'd never let meetup :|

Normally for me, a few traits pop into my head when i see a character, or if its from a breeding, i toss a few traits from the parents/siblings/relatives in there. Though if i feel like it, ill make them completely different from their parents, makes things a bit more interesting ^^ I also work off whatever name i find that fits them.
im sorry for all the text. when im tried i tend to type a lot/ramble blargh
