Do you prefer characters with peaceful lives or difficult lives? Why?

Personally, I prefer characters to have difficult lives. Conflicts and failures are what shape characters to be compelling and unique *u*;; Peaceful lives, although it's nice to see your creations happy, can only be executed in a few ways and don't have stories that people can connect to on a personal level C: I want my characters to have lives that are original and spark emotion or aesthetic appreciation in whomever reads about their history! :D

Which species do you prefer when it comes to making characters?

This is actually a really tough question to answer amg. I tend to prefer human characters over-all since they don't require such a large threshold for suspension of disbelief, considering animal characters are almost always personified. The fantastical worlds we throw our characters into tend to be the same no matter what the species, however x'D. Strictly looking at animal characters, I prefer canine since I understand how to draw them the most thanks to my many pet dogs haha. I do love felines as well and would really love to have a unique character species wise one day. Aaaaand that's why this was rather difficult to answer rofl ; u ; // <3
