Again it brings of the individuality of each dog. We have three pit bulls, they share food bowls, they are all in the same place 24/7, more when we're not home though. My family has had two incidents with pit bulls, and that's practically the only breed we keep. I've never had a dog that wasn't a pitty. Also, we used to leave one of our pit bulls with one old rat. I would leave them in the living room while I did stuff in other rooms or even outside, and Jake loved that rat like it was his baby. She would crawl on his head and chase him, and we never had any incidents.
And actually in some dogs, spaying and neutering can cause some extra aggression in the dog. One of my old friends had a pit bull and they had to give him away because he started getting a bad attitude after he was neutered, but he never caused an actual incident, they were just kind of afraid since they had some younger children.
