 Sissy is the exact opposite. She loves being held. She's at least a full sixty pounds and we still pick her up and hold her. She even has to sleep right next to me at all times. She is cute. I think I've posted pictures of her on here before.

This is some pictures of her the day after we got her. :D

How we got her is a funny story. My mom's friends dog had had puppies, and she was selling them, so my mom went to just show me the puppies, not wanting to get one. There was only one left and I was holding her, and we just ended up leaving with her because I refused to put her down. Now if only I could repeat the process with one of Paka's friesians....

O.O it's creepy how much they look alike.

& how we got him is somewhat similar. A family friend's friend had the puppies. Our family friend got one, and my brother was visiting so he got his brother. My mom & I wanted one of the puppies really bad but my mom couldn't afford it. I got all depressed because that was all she talked about & I really wanted. Well my brother brought his puppy over before he went home & my mom told him how she wanted one. He gave her the money & 2 days later I came home from school to Oreo Sitting on the couch looking at me.

It's it! She looks completely different now though. Her coloration is the same, but her body structure is completely different.
Aww, brother to the rescue.

We don't have the problem. We have three dogs and three family members. Jake is my step-dad's, Friend is my mom's, and Sissy is mine. :D

Well we have 2 dogs & 3 people. Blackie is a family dog until he needs to be fed, then hes my mom & i's. Then when he needs to be cleaned up after he's mine. Oreo's automatically my mom & i's. Until he has to be cleaned up after, then he's mine.

Aww. Sissy almost died, because she got parvo when she was a few months old, but she's okay now. :D

That's kind of what happens to me. I always end up cleaning up after the dogs, even though before we got Jake, we all agreed that we would share the work. Nope. I feed them, I clean up after them, and my parents used to give the boys their baths, but now I'm expected to wash everyone. -_-

Why you like pitbulls and what you think about their abuse: Pit Bulls can live peacefully with other dogs and animals. However, the Pit Bull has historically been bred to take down large animals. Early and continual socialization can help a Pit Bull be more animal friendly. Genetics, however, play an important role in how the dog will respond to other dogs and animals.

A Pit Bull that will fight another dog if unattended is a normal Pit Bull. Even if a Pit Bull does not start the fight, it has the potential to seriously injure or kill a dog once in the fight.

The Pit Bull has been bred to not back down and withstand pain until the goal is met. This quality does not carry true in all Pit Bulls, but it is safe to assume it is a potential in any Pit Bull in order to avoid unnecessary problems.
Pit Bulls have a late maturity, and a Pit Bull that was dog friendly at 7 months old may suddenly show signs of intolerance of unfamiliar dogs around two years old. Spaying and neutering the dog may help to prevent "turning on" the genetic urge to fight another dog.

All dog fights are preventable, however. Socialize a Pit Bull slowly with new dogs, and never let them play unattended. Remove items such as toys and food bowls to avoid stress.
Pit Bulls can live happily with other pets; if not left unattended. Even the "best of friends" can fight, and the outcome may be tragic. This can be true for dogs that have been together for years. Often, after the first serious fight, relations between the dogs are never the same.
Keeping that first fight from happening is a great way to ensure peaceful relations for the long run. If there is a multiple-dog household, it is important to separate the dogs when there is no one home.

Many people use crates for short times, put dogs into separate rooms, use kennels, or have outdoor areas set up for separation that are safe and secure. Pit Bulls can get along wonderfully with animals like cats, rabbits, and ferrets, but for safety's sake, never leave them alone together.

How much you love pitbulls: You've given me too little of a scale :D I absoutely love the breed. I want one myself but sadly I live with my folks and they say no-no 'cuz they've been brainwashed!!! I used to volunteer at my local shelter and we had a few pits: Wilma (black & white), Saphire (brindle), Symba (black w/white tip tail), Brownie & Rocky (sissy's) and Tonka. He was my absoute favorite at and shelter and everyone knew it. I never had a bond that strong with a dog before. It was incrediable! Call me crazy but it was almost like Tonka knew what I was feeling/thinking.

My parents have always said that I have a sixth sence with animals. Especially dogs. The dog could have a mean streak and a bite record, but when I walked up to it the dog acted like a puppy.

((Sorry for the long post lol!))
"Boys ever met a true country girl?
I'm talkin' true blue, out in the woods,
Down home... country..."

"I can take ya'll where you need to go
Down to my hood, back in them woods,
We do it different 'round here that's right,
But we sure do it good, and we do it all night.
See, if you really wanna know how it feels,
To get off the road with trucks and four wheels,
Jump on in, and tell your friends,
We'll raise some hell where the blacktop ends."
