Yep. He'd been talking to Jake before, and Lionheart, then an appprentice, found him. Pinestar lied to him about what he was saying, i think.

Lionpaw kept 'tracking' Pinestar to the Twolegplace, and he kept seeing Pinestar eat kittypet food and such, but when he asked Pinestar about it, he always made up excuses about how he was saving them from some kind of danger. XDD

I feel bad for Thrushpelt, when I was reading Bluestar's Prophecy I sort wished Bluestar had mated him instead of Oakheart, but then again it would be less likely that Bluestar would have become leader at all if she had mated him instead.
