Hello! This is a Lolita fan page.
I love Lolita from Sweet to Punk.
Have anything to say, ask, or just talk about Lolita then you can post it here.

For those who do not know what Lolita is

Here is the basic...

Sweet Lolita:

ImagePowdery pastels, bouncing cupcake-shaped skirts and imaginative prints are the main trademarks of an Ama Lolita. Ama is derived from the Japanese word amai, which translates into sweet. In most western Lolita communities, this style is referred to as Sweet Lolita.Within all of the substyles of Lolita fashion, Ama Lolita is perhaps the most loved one. Its childlike and innocent properties makes it the favorite style of many. The most elaborate Ama Lolitas are usually referred to as Kotekote Lolitas, which translates to Over-the-Top Lolita (abbreviated OTT in the west). Kote Lolitas brings the sweet feeling into the style to the extreme. Beautiful wigs, accessorized from top-to-toe, Hime Gyaru-inspired makeup and perfect in every aspect, Kote Lolitas are the core of the cotton candy style that is Ama Lolita.

Gothic Lolita:

Gothic Lolita is the by far most well-known Lolita style, and used to be the term that would refer to Lolitas of all the styles. However, with Lolita fashion becoming increasingly popular in the west, this mislabel is now somewhat rarer. Another term that is associated with Gothic Lolita is EGL, or Elegant Gothic Lolita. It specifically refers to a clothing line created by the brand Moi-même-Moitié.Despite its gothic label, Gothic Lolita is rather different from the western version of goth. As with all Lolita styles, it's not very revealing, usually cute or elegant, and lacks the white powdered faces and black lipstick that may be found in western goth. There are two types of Gothic Lolitas: the traditional one that has come to symbolize the style as whole, and the one with visible gothic influences. The traditional Gothic Lolita wears plain black clothing with white lace; very much looking like a cute darker version of Ama Lolita. The secondary type is less 'cute', and has more influences from western goth fashion. Motifs such as crosses, bats, coffins are common. The clothing also breaks out from purely black, revealing colors such as wine, royal blue, deep plum, white, silver and gold (the latter two are usually used to accent prementioned colors).

Hime Lolita:

Hime Lolita is a royal and elegant style that is usually incorporated into Ama and Classic Lolita. The word hime comes from the Japanese word for princess, which is clearly visible in the style. Crowns, pearl jewelery, lace gloves, high heels and Rococo-style dresses are worn to create an air of royality and elegance. Hime Lolita is also one of the few styles where good-quality satin is suitable. Satin was often used by royality in past times to express their wealth. In recent years the style has gotten more influenced by newer trends, such as Hime Gyaru fashion and the more over the top side of Ama Lolita (also called Kote Lolita).

Guro Lolita

Image
If you ever spot a staggering lolita covered in blood and wearing an eyepatch, you most likely just encountered the rare breed known as Guro Lolita. Guro is an abbrevation for grotesque, and includes lolitas splattered with blood, to lighter versions where they are covered in tattered bandages. While this style may not be something for everday use, it's perfect for Halloween or photoshoots.

Ero Lolita:

Ero Lolita can be considered to be an often misunderstood, darker and more mature take on the fashion. It has a slightly more sexy approach, but is in no way overly revealing. Despite that Ero is derived from the word erotic, this style still has the modesty and silhouette of Lolita fashion. Somewhat unique traits of Ero, is the usage of fetish materials such as PVC or leather, cage skirts, and the often seen western approach; a lolita blouse with bloomers. The latter is sometimes debated if it's truly Lolita or not.
Ero is a tricky style to find examples of, as it's in fact a rather rare sight, and most available examples are far from perfect in outfit quality. Because of the skin exposure, this style is usually claimed to be rather controversial among Lolitas, and is often only worn to concerts, or clubs. However, some people might find this style easier to wear, as it has some similarities with western fashions.
