It's not quite as simple as that. The people who've been saying "I count myself as settled or pretty much settled because I can't see myself changing" have been through most of what life can throw at them, and have found that it hasn't changed them significantly. I don't think that many people look at themself and go "oh yeah, I'm going to change". It's a hindsight thing...when you look back at how you were a couple of years ago you go "holy crap, was I really like that?".

Life is always going to chuck things at you to test you, and if you get through all of those without changing significantly I think you absolutely win the rights to call yourself settled, and no one will argue :B I'm fairly happy aligning myself with the settled tag because I am a legal adult, I have been overseas by myself and have had to fend for myself and manage money, time and resources, have graduated from school and am surviving at uni, have been though a traumatic paradigm shift and have experienced the serious illness of a close family member. Though all of these experiences I have acted the way you would expect a binturong to act, and have come out the other side without changing to the point where the analysis no longer fits. I have yet to be tested by a romantic relationship (and seeings as I don't experience sexual attraction I can't really imagine that any romantic relationship will really open any major new doors to me...I'm also not holding my breath for a relationship :D), by a death and by leaving uni and entering the workforce...but really, I've seen what a Zoe does when it's unstable, traumatised, alone and having to provide for itself, and I don't really think that any new obstacles will drastically change the way I react. Maybe they will, and that's why I prefer to not announce my status everywhere (binties don't like being proved wrong).

Yes i can agree with what scarf has said because I have had periods in the past where my emtions and personaity have taken a backwards flip and whos to say it wont happen in the future again? So maybe im not as settled as I think? ^.^ I dont know but for now im happy the way I am.

Sorry, internet cut out for a while. In any case, I was thinking much along those same lines, definitely. Personal experience would state that this holds up for INTJ in practice as well, though I'd almost lean toward INTP as being more... birdlike, so to speak. At least in theory... With regards to myself, I'm not certain. Definitely INT-something, but I need to consider in-depth J vs. P...

Cool, cool, glad my sort of vague half-educated guess was a good one. xD I'm an INTP myself and I think my bird OTOF might be some kind of not-very-social corvid, but my daemon has a bird of prey personality and is basically a more serious, patient version of myself so I can very well see there being INTP raptors. I'm not so familiar with INTJ but...it sounds ok. : D So yeah. /lolramble

In any case, I'm leaning towards INTP as well after thinking it over, so I'd say yes to INTP raptors. -chuckles- Besides what I mentioned previously about INTJ, I do believe my daemon has a bird of prey personality; he himself is INTJ, so there's that. We're pretty similar personality-wise in a few ways as well...



In somewhat relevant (but not quite particularly) relevant news, I had somewhat of a eureka moment about my personality, specifically my mental image of myself. I had been clinging to the aforementioned from when I was much younger in reality and in mentality... Though not always; in the case of some things- sociability for instance- there was enough of a basis of past experience to override this faulty perception, resulting in a correct view of things.
What this means is that I misperceived the general bird vibe, as well as that of raptors, and how they related to me.
Good news is, in a wonderful little bit of luck, twist of fate, what-have-you- everything fits. All that was wrong was the 'why' of it.

I put stable, but I'm not sure if settledom is something I'll be claiming anytime soon- I can actually see myself getting more direct/more communicative (though still passive-aggressive) and able to get used to people faster. Everything else would stay the same, but unless there's a foxy form that's gray fox + more direct with issues/better communication + ~*~slightly~*~ more tolerance towards new people after they've been around for a bit, then I'm not sure if I'll still be a treefox in the next five or six years.

I am stable for right now, though :3 And if I do change, it won't be for several years.
