The Daemian Union (TDU) V2 (POSTING OPEN!)

Question: I epic fail at analysing my family, for some reason. I considered clouded leopard for my mother but it doesn't quite work. I'm looking for something that has an almost prey-like temper/prone to overreacting but an almost apex-like commanding, initmidating presence. Clearly solitary and almost kind of cold-climate in her robotic way of dealing with emotions and her inability to see things from other points of view when emotions are involved. She's logical, though, and no-nonsense, but has a really twisted way of getting what she wants. So if anyone has any ideas >>? (When you put it like that she does sound like a cloudie, but I swear I remember it not working.) I've considered kingfishers and ducks for my dad, among other random birds. I think he could be a mammal too but can't find quite the right one xD My older sister might be a lagomorph or ungulate. She reminds me of Lottie but is very very laidback.

So yeah I fail at family! However I'm ok at friends. Helps that I have Kara the Arab wolf/ex-TDFer to help xDD I think I've probably gone through a list of the people whose forms I know already in this topic at some point, but there's a skunk, spitz dog, big floppy dog thing, goofy cat(?), lemur(?), bear, lioness, genet(?), grey wolf, frog(?), tiger, squirrel...and that's all I can think of right now.

Echoing Andreas LOL COOL FORMS but I'm fairly confident about all of them. The bear is so beary it actually hurts and there's a reason we don't put the lioness in a room with the bear, ie their huge fat apex personalities can't be contained in such a small space. >> The tiger I haven't seen for a year so it could be that she's changed since then, but back then she was pretty tigery, and the wolf too. The skunk was and is the epitome of unhealthy skunk jerk and the two dogs are so domestic you can nearly see the tails wagging and the tongues lolling except y'know not literally. The ones with question marks by them are all being reviewed currently xD

And then of course I usually analyse my characters. c: Most of them are sort of up in the air at the moment form-wise but rosella parrot and honey badger are as firm as ever.

You mean daemon. Daemian is the term for someone who talks to their daemon. Aaaand

Anything else to help place you?: I'm native american and my 'soul' animal is the hawk (this was tested and resulted by someone for me who does this as a living)

this has sweet eff all to do with daemons, lmao. Daemon form is noting to do with soul animals and totems etc., your form is found through analysing behavioural traits and habitat and so on. For example, "my form is narwhal because my soul animal is a narwhal" is [censored] and nothing to do with daemons, wheras "my form is narwhal because I am social, adaptable and cold/logical", do you see?

Hi there, Sanity! Do you think you can try making your RA a bit more detailed? We like detail, and one word answers aren't going to help us very much in pointing you in the right direction.

Lynx is correct. You need more than one word, like two or three sentences each. And be as specific as possible. If you feel like it's getting too long, you're doing it right.

Do you have any ideas for forms of IRL people like your family, coworkers, and friends?
None at all! So I'll make random guesses for my family! Go ahead and tell me if I'm wrong.

Mom: Social butterfly, can't live without her little circle, has an inability to keep things to herself, not easily offended, very nurturing but can put her foot down, passive aggressive, conscious of her looks. I get a very colorful bird vibe.

Dad: Big presence, analytical, keeps calm almost 24/7, hard to get worked up over anything at all, excellent at defusing a situation, can be a joker, enjoys time to himself but can get along at a social function. I get a bear vibe from him.

Sister: Loves kids, patience of a saint, emotional, very maternal, hard to offend, likes crass and offensive humor, sarcastic, attached to the family, social butterfly. I get a marsupial vibe from her, maybe wallaby or possum.

Hmm, but you are sensitive and feeling? You also say you are not active mentally but ferruginous hawks I would expect to be very mentally active. This is not something birds of prey exhibit. Also herons and hawks are pretty different. Things can fit on paper, but if you're generally not a bird of prey, then you can scrap looking into birds of prey even if a specific species fits on paper. I'll probably call unsettled, possibly look into spitzen? I'm not good with mammals but you're loyal and feelings-type (most birds tend to be aloof with friends and thinker/ logical types types - the ones you suggested certainly are, in any case), empathic (again, a lot of birds aren't), have a large presence (which I know the heron you mentioned doesn't, not sure about the hawk), etc. You also say you're sensitive and most birds I can think of wouldn't describe themselves as such, the only things I can think of being sensitive off the top of my head are rosellas and conures, possibly parrots in general and house birds.

For the record, you can pretty much discard those analyses and start again from scratch. You'll learn, as many have, that those analyses are old and outdated, with points interpreted far too literally. Analyses are barely a guideline for forms, you really should be doing your own research and such, yeah?

Kay, being the bugnomming pimp I am, I was so thinking sloth bear after I thought bear like Beth. It's funny you mention that, since I am talking to Emma and she said the same thing about her father. She likes sloth bear for him as well. DO IT, MAYBE YOU GUYS HAVE THE SAME FATHER IN SECRET.

Male or female: oh wait if your talking what I want for my daemian preferable male, but in real life I'm a female :3
Presence: hm... most of the time when I walk into the room people either stare at me or just don't bother to pay attention to be, I think it might be the way I look, but usually when people become aware of me or get use to me in rooms they tend to be okay with me and don't really mind my company and presence.
How active are you: Hm... although I spend a lot of my time on the computer and sleeping through the day I take time off my computer and go out to play usually roaming close to the river in our area, hanging out in the feilds and parks, and taking hikes on trails that all lead to this empty wearhouse that we think might have been on fire by how bad the condition is of the building...
Reliability: Hm... I would say I'm reliable with friends and family they know I will keep a secret if they ask me to, I'm someone to come to when someone is upset, one day I want to become a theripiest :3
How social are you: hm in real life my parents have had to set me up in a program I have a 'big sister' its a program for children and teenagers that need someone to talk to because they might have some problems me I tend to be alone a lot and like my space I only really hang around with my 2 cousins and my friend I've known since in dypers.
Intellectual or emotional: although most of the time I tend to show little emotions I do have emotional problems I prefer feelings against intellectual and one of my favorite qoutes is "Crying only makes the soul stronger"
Practical or dreamy?: I am not much for the person to be thinking about things that are bond to happen unless negative then I tend to think a lot on the negative side, I like to dream of things I wish I could be, and I like to roleplay my dreams out no matter how big or how small, how hard or how easy the dream might be to happen.
Temper: hm I have a very short temper when it comes to my cousins because they both tend to be on the edgy side to, I am usually on the breaking point of getting pissed off with them, my temper can easily be snapped and I will bark at people (not as in barking like a dog I mean getting mad)
How loyal are you: although I like nt to follow rules or instructions (I will admit that and my mother agrees with me here) I can be loyal to friends and family when I feel it is needed most people can trust me although some of my family and friends are still trying to get close enough to me to know I can be trusted..
Sensitivity: hm... when my temper as broken out I tend to be over emotional, I have a high stress level and it resolves around me being sensitive I am not always sensitive I do not break out crying when someone calls me something bad or when I get hit or hurt, It more less happens when someone dies or someone I've known for a long time has to move away far.
Patience: when I was younger I use to want things when I wanted them and hated to ever wait for something, now as a teenager I would say my patience level is a lot better although when something good might happen soon I tend to want it to come much faster but who doesn't right
Empathy: hm... I've been through a lot through my life so I do understand emotions and stress people might be going through I understand people a lot more then people think I do, most of the time people think because I'm not the best at being around either I don't understand people a lot but I do, and my family knows they can come to me for a 'shoulder to cry on'
Adaptability: I use to move a lot as a little girl from all the way out in norway, to weden to the usa to the united stated to newfoundland and to a lot of cities in Ontario, and quebec I am use to adapting to knew places new people, weather and well yeah.

They are not very empathetic at all (that is more of a mammal thing, since birds that are not super social and monogamous tend not to be close with one another), and would never prefer feeling over intellect. They may be more of a do-er and will take action, not a dreamer. And I don't think they would have outbursts of temper or have much of a temper at all because of the cool and level headed thinkers they are. I get unsettled doggy from this, actually. But then, a lot of unsettled people give dog flavor.

Yes yes birds of nom are less prone to anger/ aggression because it's just illogical for them to be like that. Prey animals tend to be much more so since if they're attacked they have little chance of actually saving their lives without clawing out their attacker's eyes lolo. Birds of prey tend to be more composed and precise (some ground birds are an exception to this) compared to other kinds of birds.

I do get doggy too, but again as Andrea said, unsettled people tend to give off doggy vibes. If you ever want to look more into birds feel free to shoot me a PM or something, I'm always up for talking about them, and it's not like you can't take forms that don't fit, eh? ;P Also, if you're old enough, you could try writing an RA using a format from TDF. Those are longer and tend to yield much better results (though I wouldn't advise the G-style on account of it's length).
