N00biest form: I was totes settled as a gray wolf when I found TDP. Then I read analyses and learned that I was so, so wrong XD Is Flareon n00by? Because we took that for a long time.

I made my daemon take a sparkle wolf form to prove some point I don't remember :C. I FELT AWEFUL AND NOOBY AFTERWARDS, AND HAD TO TAKE A COLD SHOWER TO DROWN MY GUILT. Exaggerating, but it was rather bleghhh. I took some other wild canines, but felt like a poser :C. I are not wild canine.

My dad has randomly been talking about working for the army as a cook and going to live in random-a$$ countries XDD. He half jokes that he wants to go to Korea. Hmmm, I do not know if that's where I would like to live. Love Korean food and all, but it would be too much of a culture shock. Spain for my mom would not be too bad, since she is like, the wimp and hates strange things. Spain wouldn't be so bad, except for their funny Spanish accents ;DD. BUT HE IS NOT SERIOUS ABOUT IT, SO IT MAKES ME SAD ;___;.

@N00biest form question: As for n00biest projected form, the white grizzly bear was pretty awful. As for a form I took seriously, the period where I thought I was a fossa was very lawl worthy because it meant I used to think I was some super badass introverted, antisocial treething. When in reality, I am a super badass extroverted, semi-social sheepdog.

ALSO, I'm proud to say I never had a wolf/fox phase. Even though apparently, red foxes are the wild canine version of borders?

I guess red fox is the "noobiest" form I've ever taken, although my track record with it is disappointingly non-n00bish because I
1) analysis'd before taking
2) wasn't violently form-rejected by Ala (it was more gently form-rejected |D)
3) turned out to be one of the next closest things anyway
And aside from red fox I haven't seriously taken any forms that are generally considered n00by. 'Coon is the only other "common" form I've ever considered taking, and it's by far not popular or cool enough to be counted as n00by.

To my knowledge no-one has ever had green peacock as their first form, except a couple TDFers who came by, intro'd themselves, and promptly left. And then we stablesettled as capercaillie, another unpopular form. And now I'm a horned screamer, which (I'm sure) many people have just learned about because of me, ohohoho~ ;D

Question: Did you "know" (about) your form before you considered taking it or settled as it? That is, did you know such an animal existed, and/or some of its behaviours? (ignore daemonism interpretations, i.e. wolves are social, not loners)

For me the answer is "No, yes, and no", for green peacock, capercaillie, and horned screamer respectively. Obviously I knew about peacocks since I was a kid (one of my fave animals) but I hadn't a clue there were green ones in Southeast Asia. I learned of them a couple months before I found TDF and became a daemian ('TWAS DESTINY~). However, I DID know about capercaillies; I recall seeing their pic in my Larousse Spanish dictionary my dad gave me when I was a kid and thinking they looked strange. I didn't know anything about their behaviour except that they die of heart-attack if in a cage where they can't fly (I have a book written by a Russian zookeeper with all sorts of interesting stories about animals in the zoo; the point of this one was that animals need excercise, and as such, a capercaillie kept in a cage where it cannot fly will die of heart attack if, when let out, he tries to fly, as that will put too much strain on his wing muscles which have grown weak from not excercising, etc.). Finally, I didn't know about screamers before I became a daemian, though I did know about them before I came to take the form. A year or two ago I was looking into forms similar to caps and I discovered them, but at the time I decided I wasn't social enough for one, lolo. But now I am. :3

Before I started lurking on TDF I had never heard of a New Guinea Singing Dog. I saw them around some when I did start lurking, and was kind of interested in them, but not as a form - they just sounded cool. xD Plus I was still in my "COYOTE IS MY OTF" mode then, so I kind of passed them by and read the first paragraph of the analysis. I only really realized they were a lot like me when I saw them on Dogs 101 on Animal Planet, went back and read the analysis, realized it fit perfectly, etc. So I knew about them before I took the form, but not before I got into daemonism.

Mhm ^^ I like to consider myself a dog nerd. I've been learning about all kinds of dogs and wild canines for a while now, though mostly I've been using my research to find a type of canine that is the closest to me. I've looked at other animals a few times, but domestic dog breeds and wild canines are what I know about and like the most.

... I knew (vaguely) there were such things as wildcats (like African, European, Scottish) but I definitely was no expert on them. Actually, I knew nothing about them till I was browsing the analysis index and found the analysis.
