Say one random fact about~ (I'm actually just gonna give like a paragraph because it's a good way for character development man)
Their friends-His best friend is probably his cat, Gear.
I mean, first of all, look at how adorable this little thing is.
And second of all, he doesn't really have many friends since he spends a lot of his time tinkering?? He has a few customers that certainly show up a lot, though, and sometimes they even go as far as to
have casual conversation. Not that Karel is antisocial, I mean he would love to have more friends, he just can't usually find the time.
He's hoping to become friends with Shatter, though. Because he thinks Shatter is like super cool. //so do I. e ue//
Their family-Ah man. Not doing so well, man. I mean, his little brother, Chamfer (An engineer I have yet to design), is doing pretty well. Aperture is his boss /Yay making two groups of ponies related/, and she's pretty good to him. His mother (A steamstress), though, is doing less okay. The stress of having had to take care of two young colts while recovering from their father was a bit too much for her, and her health is kind of falling. Karel isn't even really aware of this, though, since he's not really in contact with his family.
Their talent (or lack of)-Karel's a robotics specialist, and man is he good at his job. Let me copy-paste my paragraph about getting his cutie mark here real quick:
"Kayrel was about nineteen when he got his cutie mark. He had just recently moved out and had settled in a nice apartment, working at the front desk at the science center. His shift had just ended, and he decided to poke around at the new robotics exhibit. He was caught by a few older workers giving a simple, talking robot that was mostly for show some upgrades, with a new metal hand-shaped mark on his rear. He was moved there, but quit when he got in a fight with the manager over how they were wasting the robots' potential just putting them up for display."Yeah man.
He has a few ponydroids that help him out, but he avoids flaunting his them lest he become famous (Which he thinks would be nothing but a hindrance) or something. Although I'm considering making him a unicorn because that would make more sense?? Not sure though.
One habit they have-Karel has like little to no filter on what he says. If it pops in his head, he'll probably say it. It's gotten him in trouble more than once, but it's a hard habit for him to break. He also has a habit of changing his tie a lot when he's stressed about something.
A hobby not connect to their talent-I would have to say that he has two main ones.
The first being taking care of Gear. //Because look at her she's freaking adorable how could you not want to spend all of your time just patting her// He tends to overfeed her and stuff, but he's careful about her health otherwise. Often, Karel will take her outside and let her run around in his yard, although she's mostly an indoor cat.
The second would be collecting bowties. He has like basically every color and pattern imaginable.
Their favorite sandwich-Probably a ham sandwich. He doesn't have expensive tastes, and would prefer something he can make and eat quickly.
Their best feature-Dedication. When he decides to do something, he goes through with it like 5000% of the time you guys.
Their worst feature-He can get pretty arrogant and rude sometimes. e Ae
Especally when you bring up robotics in a "Oh yeah I know about xyz!" kind of way. He'll like totally ruin your enthusiasm with an "Oh no, but xyz isn't actually true, you know, it's actually abc that's acting in this weird way and asdl;kfaenzdxzvc u stoopid."
