Meet Overclock, the android specialist! He's actually really gifted in his line of work, and would be famous and rich except for the fact that he's like a total slacker. He loves partying and hanging out with stallions (And, to a lesser degree, mares), but isn't one for flirting. He's also not keen on long-term relationships, though, mostly because of his dad. However, due to the fact that he can be a pain to be around (Since he's a bit rude sometimes and stuff), he doesn't really get invited to many parties.

He spends most of his time tinkering and messing around with people on the internet, and he hasn't really built anything of much worth, as far as other ponies know. He does, actually, have a few very impressive ponydroids with fully sentient AIs and emotions and everything that keep him company.

He's in his mid thirties or so. He grew up in Manehattan, and skipped school an awful lot. He spent most of his time in an abandoned house he found and fixed up, reading and taking stuff apart.
He lived with his mother and little brother for most of his youth. His father was abusive, and when Overclock's little brother was born, his mother decided that she had to protect them better and got help. They sent his dad to a life sentence in jail and never heard from him again.

Overclock was about nineteen when he got his cutie mark. He had just recently moved out and had settled in a nice apartment, working at the front desk at the science center. His shift had just ended, and he decided to poke around at the new robotics exhibit. He was caught by a few older workers giving a simple, talking robot that was mostly for show some upgrades, with a new metal hand-shaped mark on his rear. He was moved there, but quit when he got in a fight with the manager over how they were wasting the robots' potential just putting them up for display.

He is now self-employed, making various trinkets for ponies. He lives in a small house with his silver tabby cat, Gear.

I'm thinking about sending him to the ball, if any stallions would be interested?

I guess this is a rant, and figured it could go here.

Well, i have this perfect idea for a character who would deal in studying the stars and the moon phases -i have this head cannon despite luna and celestia raising the sun/moon phases of the moon still occur- and i have the perfect name for her and everything. Thing is? Her name would be after a character in harvest moon, Lumina. Guess how much hate i'd get for not only her talent, but her name. All i'd hear from most of the fandom would be "OH MY GOD YOU LUNA RIP OFF! SHE'S HORRIBLE! LUMINA ISN'T EVEN A GOOD NAME! TO MUCH LIKE LUNA'S! CHANGE HER!!!!!!1" Just like people can't have a country pony who is a bit like applejack without being called a rip off, or a pony who is a tiny bit like rarity, or a book nerd, or someone athletic, or somepony who parties. It seems like ANY character who is even a tiny like one of the main six people get flamed. One reason i haven't put the ponies design on paper.

Anyone have this problem? Or anyone care to see lumina? I'd have to draw her tomorrow most likely though.

Flora Bell is a bit like Fluttershy and Coupe de Grace is a bit like rarity in personality. Its impossible to make an OC without it seeming like another character a bit. And that is fine, as long as she is not a total rip off I dont see anything wrong with it.

I personally don't see anything to rip off of from a character really, she's kinda i guess a different 'version' of me. I love night-time, and because my Ponysona isn't fully developed, i pretty much project my favorite things onto OC's. Like Little Phoenix is my love of writing, Legato my love of choir, Fruity explosion my love of not only making food, but also for explosions, and cocoa for my love of any hot drink like tea and coffee, not to mention hot chocolate.

Fateful is open, though... mostly she's proooobubly attending the ball to steal stuff. She iiiis a pirate. She's a sasy, strong willed, and independent young mare with a snarky sence of humer and a dislike of people who think they are better then her just because their jobs are legal.
