I loved the newest episodes, it was very cool and interesting to be able to look into the past and see the first 2 major villians' defeats. I also was happy to see Discord and Zecora again. Discord singing Winter Wrap Up was very amusing. But I felt as if the mane 6 weren't themselves, they bickered more and acted... different.

I thought they acted a little strange, too! I didn't think it was like Applejack to suggest Twilight to leave, even if it was for her saftey. Maybe Rainbow or somepony else but... not her.

I have a question for those who watched the show;
What do you think's in the box?

I think it might be a crown or a dragon egg, but I'm really not sure...

I think possibly something that leads to more danger, or something that would help them more... Also, when does episode 3 come out?

i think that in the box there's something more powerful than the elements that bound the six mares more together than the elements even did c: or maybe it's those balls of light that turned twilight into an alicorn, and every five episodes they find a key to the box- and that works out so in the season finale they find the final key and the wisps/balls of light turn the remaining five mares into alicorns and they are given a palace to rule and protect equestria forever c:

The mane six were different it seemed Rainbow Dash didn't have a lot of spunk in her, Apple Jack would have never suggested they split off she wants everyone to stick together even Pinkie Pie was less exuberant

I agree with everyone - I was shocked to hear what AJ was suggesting - and Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie WERE pretty out of character. So was Rainbow. Rarity and Twilight were fairly spot-on - though certain lines they had also indicated that something was different. And did anyone else notice that Spike didn't have that many lines in the first part of the episode?

Does anyone think the reason for this may be as simple as Discord causing strife again? Do you think he's playing with their minds, as he did the first time we saw him in "Return of Harmony"? Perhaps the characters being...well, OUT OF CHARACTER, is an indication that Discord is even more crafty than we originally thought, and is only pretending to be nice so he can REALLY get back at the ponies in future episodes.

That's just one of my many takes on the whole issue - I dunno if any of you would agree with me or not.

mind control!!!! mwa ha ha!!!! anyways I don't think that's the case more likely the writers in the thick of writing the history lesson (sorry I mean episode 0.0) just thought they needed to do it. personally I think the twilight turning back thing was a whole waste of time.
