If you are wanting to sell a character, do you contact the person you bought it from to make sure your allowed?:
Always, find it not only shows respect for the artist, but some actually require it when i get/buy/trade a character from them.

If you do contact them, what do you do if they are no longer active (how long do you wait, etc.):
I normally try to find their DA, FA, of they have a wolfhome account, a CS account maybe have friends check dogdayzz. I'll even go so far as to check past sold/traded characters for any TOS (terms of servive), or an email. If i am unable to locate or get a hold of the artist, i normally put the character on hold or retire until i hear word from them.

- Gets dragged home by angry parents? Mocha - Althought it would be angry guardian rather than parents
- Threw the party? Cytor - I swear, he did it just to drive Serenade mad!!
- Broke the expensive vase? Denni - He just can't see around that darn mask!!
- Fell asleep in someone else's bed? Cirian - He wore himself out at the other five parties that day
- Kissed in a closet/cupboard? Mikkel - Hey, not my fault Plague was invited
- Sleeps in the garden/yard? Gaia - She feels more at home there!
- Hides in a corner reading? Sol - Not one for parties unfortunately
- Wasn't invited? Tai - If you don't tell them you plan to eat them, then you get invited places!
