Upon closer inspection, Bill saw an orange-eyed, hairless animal about the size of a goat...

Chupacabras
Also called, "sucker of goats", the chupacabra is said to killfarm animals by draining their blood, supposeedly marked by two puncture wounds at the throat. It was originaly described as alien-like with flexible rows of spines down its back, glowing red eyes, and long, sharp fangs. Some say it jumps like a kangaroo.

Mothman
On November 12, 1966, fve men were digging a grave near Point Pleasant, West Virginia, when a creature that looked like a seven-to-six foot tall man with wings allegedly flew over their heads. In a years time more than one hundred people have said to seen the creature.All of them were discribed as screeching tall man with glowing red eyes.

The jersey devil
The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature or cryptid said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey, United States. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many different variations. The most common description is that of a kangaroo-like creature with the head of a goat, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, cloven hooves and a forked tail. It has been reported to move quickly as to avoid human contact, and often is described as emitting a "blood-curdling scream."
Bigfoot
A mysterious primate that has been sighted worldwide and is known by many names, including, Sasquatch, Yeti and Yowie. When a hoax master, Ray Wallace strapped on wooden feet and left bogus tracks across the backwoods ofof northern California in 1958, a local newspaper allegedly came up with the term "Bigfoot" to describe the beast that might have made the tracks(before the hoax was revealed.) But Sasquatch the elusive ape-man of California had been sighted many times before.
Mermaids
Sailors around the world have allegedly seen or heard mermaids since the first century AD. At first described as having rough, scaly bodies, by the fifth century mermaids became shapely women from the waist up and fish from the waist down. In his ship logs, Christopher Columbus recorded seeing mermaids.
And now for my favorite,
Loch ness monster
Loch ness monster
THe most famous lake creature, Nessie was allegedly first sighted in the sixth century when a monk chastised the creature and ordered it back into the depth. Nessie was reported to be seen on land too. A group of 1879 school children playing near the north shore saw a creature the color of an elephant coming down the norht hillside to the loch. Hundereds of people have claimed to ave seen the creature through the centuries.
