Exactly. Tauriel technically doesn't exist. I mean, I know, she might actually exist, who says there wasn't an elf-maiden called Tauriel? -just not of Tolkien's word.
But Legolas does, as Luna says he was there, he just wasn't mentioned. And don't forget at this time I believe Estel is in Rivendell as well, so I'd been curious to see whether he'd be mentioned too.
I don't have anything against Tauriel, please, don't misunderstand and think I do! I just can't help but being the tiniest fraction skeptical until I can appreciate her side of the story for myself, is all. It's really not a big deal for me. ^^
