Did it kill anyone else inside to see Twilight's friends and even CELESTIA kneel to her?
The episode wouldn't have been half bad if not for that. It doesn't seem like a friendship anymore to me. It seems more like "princess and her lowly subjects". I'd like everyone to be equal. True friends don't have leaders. Cliques do. So...are the main six going to be a clique? I sure hope not!

And the fact that Celestia kneeled to her just...ugh.
She's always been a bit of a mary-sue, but now she's so powerful that the RULER OF ALL EQUESTRIA has to bow to her?

I felt the episode went a bit to quickly, with one song to solve the problem. I think it would have worked if it was a bit slower and a two parter, but I enjoyed the episode. I loved the plot, and celestia sung! I think it would be cool if they were all alicorns or something, like with the crystal empire part 2 and they all become crystal ponies. I can't wait to see what they do in series four.

I had to wait for it to come out on youtube. I really wish I lived in America sometimes.

I was curious about the MLP Generation 3 and I was searching through the images when I found this one; {x} ;w;

So, I liked the episode until I began thinking about the plot.
Twilight thinks it's a wonderful day, so she sings a song about it. Then she realizes her friend's cutie marks have been switched, and there's a song about it. Twilight is sad because this is ruining her friend's lives and ponyville, so she sings a song about it. Then she finds a cure for all of this horrible stuff and heals everyone. In a song. Then she writes a spell herself, what no pony has ever done, not even the most experienced magician. Then she is teleported to Celestia, who sings a song. Then Celestia grants her wings, and she's now one of the few alicorns in the show. She also becomes a pony princess. Then she flies back to ponyville as a bright sparkling star. And celestia and all her friends bow to her. Then she gets a coronation party in canterlot and there's a song about it. After that, she rides through canterlot and everyone cheers and throws flowers at her. then she sings about how wonderful it i

I felt that this would happen...the greatest pony ever and the mane 5. What puzzles me is what is twilight gonna do as princess? Twilight only lasts for around 5 mins, and isn't she gonna have to raise the sun AND moon to do twilight, and if she does what is the point of Luna and Celestia?

I think she hasn't appeared as Minty is a G1 name and hasbro lost the rights to all the G1 names except for Applejack and Spike. I love minty <3

Mare-y Sue indeed....that's what i was afraid would happen when the rumors for the season 3 finale came out....but you have to admit that the songs are immpossible to get out of your head

To the 'what will Twilight do as a princess' question, it's pretty clear that she's probably going to be charged with spreading the magic of friendship across a larger span, or perhaps just becoming a great mage, period. Cadence doesn't have anything to do with a celestial body, she leads the Crystal Empire and helps spread love. And another note-- I forget exactly where I read it, either the Brony part of memebase or TV Tropes, but it was pointed out that, among the mane 6, Twilight was the only one without an actual life goal. Rarity is very much on her way to becoming a great designer, AJ's going to run Sweet Apple Acres, Pinkie Pie will be a party planner, Fluttershy is content with taking care of animals, and Rainbow has a prominent position on the weather team, as well as a good shot at becoming a Wonderbolt.

As much as Twilight likes books, do any of you really see that being her ultimate calling? Of course not! She has been, until now, Celestia's student before just about everything else. Now that she's learned almost everything Celestia has to teach, it's time for her to step up and become a leader, which-- minor freakouts aside-- seems to be one of her greatest strengths. Even if it wasn't foreshadowed especially well, it has always been clear that Twilight was being built up for something huge, and princesshood, in the MLP 'verse, is actually a perfect fit. (And, incidentally, I like to think that the whole 'changing destinies' thing will come into play sometime around season 4-- I admit, I have no idea /what/ it might come up as, but I have trouble believing that it's just a one-off thing, and it'd explain why completing that spell would have been the final task for Twilight to complete before becoming a princess. She's kind of worked her tail off over the last three seasons, learning what it is to be a good friend and leader, including when it comes to listening to others and even letting others do what has to be done. Frankly, she's earned the hell out of those wings.)

And please, people, just... take five seconds to think about the context of the bowing. It was a sign of respect towards Twilight and her new position. Not out of fear, not because she's uber powerful, not because they're all peasants compared to her. It is simply a sign of respect to their friend and what she has gained. You all saw how the 6 reacted at first, right? Was there any groveling or 'you now rule us'? No, they reacted just like we'd expect. The only bowed when Celestia did, and again, it was a brief thing, and done out of respect. Sorry about the little rant there, but... it's really getting on my nerves that people everywhere are really thinking that everyone bowed just because they fear Twilight/'because she's spechul and a super-Sue now', when it was perfectly clear that yeah, they are all still equals, and they are all still friends (or was that whole speech of Twilight's at the end just something I dreamed?).
