Same here, my own writing gets depressing.

I can't remember the title for the life of me, but there was one fic where Twilight becomes an immortal Alicorn princess and her friends also become immortal, but they can choose to die. The fic is Twilight telling her servant how each of her friends chose to die. It's hard to make me cry with fanfic but that fic pulled some heartstrings.

Kinda off topic, but are there any rocs (giant 2-headed eagles that carry elephants in their claws) or harpies (Women's faces, vultures' bodies) in MLP? (Just watched a cartoon with evil harpies...)

Oh! Another good one is The Diary of Morning and Dusk! or Gold Star. However, if you like the entire immortality thing, you should try The Mare at the End of Forever with Celestia. Or Quite Ready for another adventure..
