She became so busy that she officially retired. Sounds like from this thread viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1350491&hilit=malk that other artists started to color her linearts for her because she got so caught up in RL. If she couldn't keep up, then I could see why she would resign.

I will as well! I really loved all of Malk's creations. I am starting a Malk Shrine of his pets, and I am trying to get all of his pets (totally unrealistic, but I can hope!).
