Here's my method, and it's practically foolproof, as long as you don't tell a villager you want to keep to leave;

Step One: Talk to everybody around town. I save and quit as many times as needed until I'm sure I've talked to everyone.
Step Two: Wait 15 minutes and come back to see if anyone has a 'ping' for me, when they run up and are eager to talk. I talk to them and anyone else who pings and if no one wants to leave, then I time travel to the next day and repeat from step one.

Usually, you have one random villager everyday that pings to leave after you start time travelling.
If that villager isn't the one you want, tell them to stay and then keep talking and time travelling one day at a time until it is the villager you want.

whenever i've cycled in the past i used this method; i never once lost a dreamie and it was always a lot faster than any other cycle methods. nvn

Katt is like my baby in my town <3

Mostly because she reminds me of tabby who is also in my town.

Don't ask, I totally adore those two babes for some reason though if I had to pick between the two I'd have to send tabby packing even though she was my childhood fav.
