It's perfectly fine. At the time I didn't have the qr code machine so I was just looking for some clothing designs and such but now I have the qr code machine so it's perfectly fine If you don't bring any.

I'm trying the time traveling thing when you go forward a week and talk to the ones you want to stay and don't talk to the one you want to move

It depends if you have talked to those three a bit. If you have talked to them after you first introduced yourself to them then that is why. Once you talk to an villager, you are put on a 'friends ladder' it can take up to 3 to even 6 weeks to get a villager that you have talked to more than once to move out.
