I think I'm going to quit the CAAA.^^;
I've noticed recently that the rules seem only to be getting stricter, with no discussion towards things that should be different about them. I honestly feel rather ignored here, only few people even get recognized in this group and I know that I'm not one of them. It was also rather upsetting that instead of my opinion being listened to the other day (regarding ranking characters by how cool they were) I was instantly shot down for stating it. Maybe I'm just being oversensitive, regardless, I'll be leaving. Good luck to all of you in finding characters and if you ever want to contact me don't hesitate to PM me. C:

And in all retrospect I agree with you with a few things. The rules have been more strictly enforced lately and I personally find it fairly bothersome; I liked CAAA better when we did pretty much anything we wanted and posted whatever, as long as it was character related. And a lot of people can be ignored here, which is quite unfortunate as well. The community needs to be more open to everyone, in that case.

On the subject of rules;

Alright, I'll come clean, /maybe/ the whole enforcing rules thing has to do with me.

I only really saw these complaints after I was promoted to mod, but hear me out.

The thread has rules for a reason. To keep it regulated. To make sure the thread doesn't get locked.

I was promoted to mod to help the rest of the mods enforce the rules, as they were having problems doing it themselves, all 5 of them (including Wes).
You got to think, 5 mods were having trouble enforcing rules on this thread. That means something, doesn't it?

I take rules seriously, because I know what it's like to make rules and have them broken. They're not guidelines, they're rules. They're to keep everything organized. We expect you guys to follow them, but we still have to warn for the simplest of offenses, like one-word posts, off-topic discussion and the 5 page rule.

If we let you talk about whatever you want, we'd run the risk of having the thread locked. Do you want that? No. I don't.

Maybe the rules are being enforced more, but that's only because they're broken more often than they should.

I'm not recognized much, but I know I'm not ignored. People sometimes comment on art or characters I get, and it brightens my day, but I don't expect to get a comment on every post. I feel like I belong here and I don't want others to quit, it's such a nice group and we should support each other.^^

But when we say we're capable of talking about characters, while staying in the rules, wouldn't you trust us? How do you know we're not getting fed up about being told what not to do, when we're talking about character related things?

I don't notice the selective attention, but I do wish the rules were a bit less strict. As part of GOA I know rules have to be enforced, but I really hate how we have to adopt out characters through PM now, it's just moving the 'spam' to our inboxes in my opinion, and it really doesn't take up too much space on the thread to begin with.
