For me, Italy is like a second home. We go there every year. But I still love it. I wish my Italian was better though, I understand quite a lot, but I can't talk that much (stupid school, I can write an essay about things, you'll never need in your life, but i can't properly talk to the Italians )

@soccer: I also hate the german team, because the german fans can be really arrogant and they also make fun of us Austrians, because we're not as good as them.
When Germany played against Italy, I sat there in my Italy Shirt, with "Italia" written on my wrist =D And when Italy won I was sooo happy

I love the Austrian team as well! And Italy. xP I'm almost full German but I don't like their team.

And as for Hima, he has not updated his blog in a long time either. But fear not!
Inside sources have said that his bosses or whatever are going to make him update his blog soon because he is loosing fans. And, he has not completely stopped making strips. He makes strips for a Japanese magazine a lot.
I actually can't remember the name of the magazine, but if you did some digging I'm sure you can find it. And also, all of the strips he has made have been scanned and translated ^J^

I was going for Germany and England to get far the whole time. Of course, I knew Spain was gonna get far too.
Personally, I do not think Italy should have even got the chance to play Spain. Germany/Spain would have been a much more interesting game in my opinion.
But that aside, during the games, Hetalia almost constantly popped into my head xD

What i dislike about the German team is, that the act as if they have won even before the championship even starts. (and I am confronted with it quite often, because Austria only has 4 or 5 TV Channels, so I'm usually forced to watch german TV as well)

But still, there was this show, I think to years ago, called "Das Match". In this show, famous Austrian people and former soccer players (the "Legends") trained together and and at the end they played against the team of another country.

In the first season they played against Switzerland and won 4:2

In the second season they played against Germany and won 5:2

So... even if Germany's a lot better than us in professional soccer, our famous people are way better =D

Our first international was with Newzealand. 1-3

And our wurst score was... Um... Oh yeah, against south Africa. 0-8

New Zealand in soccer football? Well, to start off with, we have a rocking uniform. Black for away colours and white for home colours
Biggest win was 13 - 0 to Fiji. I think.

I'll just throw this in for no reason:
Having been born in Italy and having been living in New Zealand for a long time, I find it not at all surprising that I can identify with New Zealand more than Italy (Either South or North). I think maybe it's because they gave New Zealand no personality/appearances yet?

Well we are so good, that we still need to talk about the "Wonder of Cordoba" in 1978, where we won against Germany. No such things to talk about today.

But fortunately there are nice people who let us for example host an european championship like in 2008, so we finally got a chance to be in one. (Not that we would ever qualify)

But now honestly, I think our team has improved in the last years, we are not as bad as we used to be. And still, no matter how bad they are, I'll still support them.
