When someone requests a Wyrm, it'll show up on the 'pending' sheet showing who you are waiting on. You /may/ want to remind people that they need to approve breedings for you. We won't do that on our end. It's up to you to hunt down people who okayed breedings and get them to send in their forms.

Hippie_Otter wrote:As I am overseas and therefore needing different posting costs, where do I tell HMS that? Would a dA note work or is there a specific place to tell her? I'm asssuming the contacting needs to be done after the breedings have been approved.

When you pay via paypal, she'll get your address with it. That should be enough to verify that you're an overseas buyer. You can also include your address in the paypal note when you pay for your Wyrm(s).

Hippie_Otter wrote:When breeding with a foundation wyrm, is it possible to have a back up breeding if the one with the foundation wyrm fails (as it is 50/50)? If so, how would you submit the breedings? The two separate and cancel the backup if the first works, or wait for the outcome of the first and then submit the backup if needed, or some other process?

You can arrange a backup, and if you don't win the coin-flip, you'd have to resubmit for the backup breeding you've arranged. The forms don't allow for having a backup listed, and it's easier for us to have the two separate forms, so we know that one got 'closed' for the coin-flip, and you've submitted a new one. That way we've got a record of what happened. Usually, we can determine the outcomes of the coin-flips immediately after you submit them (as long as I'm online at the time). So it shouldn't be too much of an issue to check back in a few hours and see if you got the coinflip or not.

---

The form should be pretty easy to get through if you read the directions. If there's some discrepency, I'll work with people to sort it out, but PLEASE make sure you are checking your notes/e-mails/etc on your contact location (deviantart, furaffinity, etc). I will try to respond to people's requests within 24-hours, but I can't control how fast you guys turn around /your/ information back to me.

Good to know, thanks Arazia. x] I wasn't sure if they got an email or not if their wyrm was put in a breeding. Very helpful.

Basically, our policy is that if you want the breeding, you put in the work to make sure people turn in their approval forms.
We're not going to hunt anyone down for you, because we don't want to be responsible if someone doesn't reply in time.
That, and we've got our hands full with all the other people requesting. =3

Yeah, no kidding! Totally understandable, and I hope my wyrm owners will be able to approve the breedings quickly. ^^

Poking my head in to clarify a few things before the "big day" start of breeding season.

1) on shipping....since a LOT of people are ordering multiple Wyrms, and I've started doing the teacups in those plastic boxes to protect them while shipped, I've been doing the boxes in bubble mailer envelopes. (They don't fit in the small mailing boxes. ) I'm off to the PO today, and will confirm that a few Wyrms in a box in a bubble mailer will still end up being about the same cost wise as the boxes. I am ALWAYS trying to find the most secure, durable, cost effective way to get you all your babies. ;3 so for those ordering a few teacups, it SHOULD be the regular 6$. Will confirm that today. Got some slightly larger plastic boxes, for multiple teacups, and I want to make sure that doesn't bump shipping over the previous costs.

2) payment. Once your breedings are approved, you can do one of two things, you can either pay the deposit for each Wyrm, which will be 10$ per Wyrm, OR you can confirm the shipping costs and pay in full. entirely up to you which you prefer...some folks like to pay all at once to get it done with, while they are sure they have the funds. Just out it in the paypal notes what you are paying for. (Paying deposit - number of Wyrms, what species, OR paying in full, x number of Wyrms, what species) ALSO! Make absolutely SURE you out WHICH breedings you are paying for...IE what pairs. If you don't, I have NO way of knowing who paid for which breedings. If you pay, but don't out which pairings its for in the notes, I will assume your breedings are not paid for. We have a LOT of breedings to keep track of guys....help us stay organized, and make life easier for me to keep track, k?
Just as a note- those Wyrms that are paid in full will be at the front of my work list to get done and out. It's easier that way for me. Those who pay deposits will need to keep watch for an email from Zia...I will be poking at her as I finish the Wyrms to note people that their Wyrms are ready, and to go ahead and pay the remaining balance plus shipping.

3) international shipping - handlers choice..I can send these regular first class international post, as I have been, or priority international. YOU get to chose. If they go priority, they will be insured, and it is safer, especially if you are getting multiple Wyrms or bigger Wyrms (standards) though it is quite a bit more, postage wise. (Example- single teacup going to Sweden was $16 priority instead of 6-7$ )
By the same token, if US handlers want their Wyrms sent priority instead of regular parcel post thats fine...just let me know and I will tell you if there is a diff in shipping cost.

Thanks for clarifying this HM!
I do have a few question(s).

What is the shipping price for Standards and minis?
I'm getting an Infected mini, Standard, and teacup. Would the shipping price be the same if I could get all three shipped at once, or do I have to have them shipped out separately with separate prices?

Honestly, the flat rated priority shipping box that will fit a standard (medium) will also have plenty of room for a mini and teacups...they are 12$, plus the cost of insurance.

Your best bet when figuring out your postage costs is to check the US post office website...
https://www.usps.com/
Flar rate priority is what I like to use for anything bigger than teacups, as its faster and allows insurance. It's up to you, but fair warning...if a package ISN'T insured, then once its out of my hands I am no longer able to do anything if it gets lost or breaks in transit. So it's up to each handler how much they are willing to pay for shipping, and how much they want to protect their Wyrms should anything happen. I will not replace Wyrms damaged in the post if there is not insurance on them. If they are insure however, I will remake them once the insurance claim is put through.
9 out of 10 times, there's no problem. But if you are spending 100$ on Wyrms, it really pays to spend the few extra bucks and get them priority with insurance. This way if the package gets run over by a postal truck or someone crazy, you get new Wyrms at no cost to you.

OH! And an important note!

To anyone who has created an Instagram page for their Wyrms, or posted photos of their Wyrms on Instagram....I am officially requiring they be removed! No Wyrm photos on Instagram, nor Wyrm artwork.
This is why... http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2012 ... s/1777005/

I'm sorry, but that is WAY shady. Their new TOS allows them to sell photos of anyone, including underaged children, to advertisers or other companies. I find this abhorrent, and refuse to support a site that shows so little care and regard for the privacy and rights of those who use the service.

So please, if you have an Instagram page with Wyrm related stuff, pull any images of Wyrms.

I'll definitely be insuring my package, even if my standard breeding doesn't go through. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive in Canada, and crossing my fingers it gets here tomorrow, since I leave Thursday. If not my poor wyrm will be spending Christmas in the post office, waiting my return. :<

As for the instagram... wow, that is EXTREMELY shady. I'm glad I've never had an account with them, and now I never will. I wouldn't ever want my work to be used by a third party.

The whole insurance thing is still confusing to me.
Do we select the amount of insurance or will I find out from you or from the postal office?
Sorry, this is my first time with getting wyrms and I want to know how to do everything right.

Today I need to talk with my mom about the whole process and I need to make a Paypal. So much to do! But so worth it. XD
