@Darra: Have you read 'the Hobbit'??? It's the prequel to LotR

yes i have read the hobbit, i thought it was a good book, not read it in a while might have to see if anyone has the book near me so i can read it again i really hate the LotR films in my opinion not as good as the books.

there are 3 books and they take ages to read each one, and tbh the film missed out alot from the books which had annoyed me.

I read the Hobbit when i was younger and loved it.
Then i tried to read the lofr and it took me six months to realize that it was nothing like The Hobbit.
I haven't seen the movies because they never make them right when they are based off a book.
I think the best book based movie i've seen is The Hunger Games

I play things like My Sims and Second Life ... With the occasional outburst of Fire Emblem and No More Heroes, of course. And I tried reading the Hobbit but I kept getting side-tracked by the four other books I was reading at the time. So I dropped it. I'm starting it later, once I'm done with the Ranger's Apprentice series. And this will be my fifth time trying to read Eragon. I just find it amateur how he tries to use all these long, dry words ... It simply doesn't work! I can read the original format of Shakespeare plays with the dialogue and screen-timing, but I just can't seem to find the persistence to read five chapters into Eragon. Strange.
