Random thought but I'm interested in finding out the answer.This depends on the Rune, some Runes like the Celtic Wolf and Fox Flame, travel in packs. Others like the Gargoyle Rune or the Nightingale Rune, travel in flocks. While some like the Grizzleback are seen in herds while other runes just travel alone. It depends on the type and each rune type is very unique. ^^
I like the idea of a hoard of Rune dragons. ^^ As in: "My hoard of Runes attacked the pan of delicious home-made brownies."
I guess Mariana and other Deep Sea Runes would travel in a pod.That puts me in mind of another question: What do you call male and female runes? Runes and Runettes? Dragons and Dragonesses? Tercels and Falcons? Does and Bucks? Drakes and ... I'm not sure what the female version of a duck is called. I think it might just be duck.
