[Typical Aquarius]

Defining Reality.

In a small town in southern Georgia, tradition has reigned supreme for years. Women stay home and take care of their house, while their husbands are out, earning the money for the family. Sunday morning is reserved for church, Sunday afternoon for family and close friends. Piercings and tattoos are a no- no, and drinking underage is a fact of life, albeit a quietly well known one. Girls go nowhere without a male escort, and Daddy decides who they see. Boys keep their hands off until they're married and ask Daddy's permission before taking a girl anywhere, while homosexuality seems to be a thing that only happens other places.
The small town itself has been struggling for many years, and the city council has finally gotten a few big companies to move into town. With that comes an influx of new residents, including executives for the companies and their families. Most of them have lived in big cities all their lives, and the children can't seem to adjust to small town living. What could be considered "rebels" join the young adults of the small town, and "corrupt" them.
With the mingling of the new arrivals and old-time residents comes a clash of cultures, big city versus small town. Romance is in the air, but tension is building between the adults of the community. Is somebody going to give, or is the town going to stay the same?

have you ever wished on a shooting star?
when you were a kid, or when you were desperate?

Sure, its cute and funny to wish on a shooting star, hoping for it to come true. Many wish for love, happiness, money, a car, a pony, or something. And some....some people wish for a better life.
I used to wonder when I wished on a shooting star, was someone wishing for the same exact thing? It seemed highly unlikely, but it always popped up in my mind when I wished.

So as I sat there in my room, curled up under the blankets and facing the window, and watched shooting star come by. I smirked and decided to make a wish, even though I was a teenager and it seemed childish. But hey, never hurts to try. So I closed my eyes, and thought real hard, and whispered these words,

"dear shooting star, I wish...I wish to be in a better place, far from here."

I reopened my eyes, looking back up at the sky. The shooting star was gone. I let out a sigh, shaking my head, and I rolled over and closed my eyes, falling asleep.

Little to my knowledge, 9 others wished for the same thing.
and that's when it all started.

you come home, tired from your day, so you decide to go to sleep, forgetting to take the necklace off.
when you are asleep, you feel a pull from your mind, and you suddenly wake up.
your not in your bed, your not in your home, you are far away.
and your not yourself either.
