Why would you like to participate/support this cause?: Nobody ever deserves to feel lowly about themselves. It's been a personal vendetta of mine to try and ensure a sense of self acceptance into the hearts of every person I encounter, and I know some of the LGBT communities members have the hardest time finding that.

A few months ago, I made a DOS editable that seems to have gotten pretty popular, so if you'd like, we could certainly affiliate :)

@ Corn Snake <3 - I've heard of many stories of people tell their best friend that they are bi/lesbian, and then have that friend avoid them from then on. I think it's very sad that they would do that, I mean really T^T You tell that one person who you should be able to trust the most, and they stop being your friend because of it. It makes me sad just thinking about it T^T Just another reason that I haven't told anyone I'm not sure of my sexuality yet, besides being asexual. I'm afraid to lose a friend. </3

I've seen it happen as well, I feel so grateful for having it not happen to me, my best friend turned out to be my girlfriend. The thing is, she and about two or three other people know about my sexuality and my parents don't even know. It takes a lot of guts to tell anybody, trust me I know. Don't worry though, there are so many people out there who'd die to be your friend, both of you c:

It is very difficult to loose that friend, especially if you were crushing on her, because like you said, Karma, that is the one person you think you can trust with anything. But then it's better to know what they think about the LGBT community, you wouldn't want to keep someone who disliked it enough they would stop being friends with someone around, or is that just me?

See, telling you parents is a hard one, it really depends on the status of the family, i was lucky in the fact my mum is bisexual as well so she actually told me she figured i would be when i outed myself to her on my 16th birthday xD So long ago T-T. But i've heard you get parents who really dislike it, like my Gran. But so long as your happy then what difference does it make what gender you like?

Hybrid, have you ever thought of going to an LGBT group? I don't know if there are any around where you live but that's how i met my utter best friend, who steals all my rainbow things D'= . You never know who you'll meet in them groups and i found it was a great way to be myself. So with only a couple of people knowing, it could help you find the courage to tell more ^-^

No I haven't looked into them actually. o: I'm sure there's one around somewhere...dunno where xD but I'll look, it would be nice to know more people and tell more people to, it feel slike I'm lying to a lot of them honestly by not telling them. My parents were Christian, but they haven't gone to church for 19 years and I've never seen them pray...plus my dad has gay colleagues who as a matter of fact just got married~! Heh heh off topic...but yeah, I'd tell my mum first probably. The only thing I know is that they won't hate me for it or try and change me.

One of my friends told me and someone else that she was lesbian....everyone eventually found out and they kept coming up to me and asking if it was true. I said yes and that it doesn't make her any different. I'm still her friend too. Does that make me a good friend?

You should give it a look into, in the group i went to everyone was so supportive and helpful. Well that would make things easier, if they accept Gay people in their lives, i agree with you, it does sound like they would hold any animosity towards you if you come out ^-^ I think once you tell your parents it's easier to tell everyone else, because acceptance from your parents is much, much more important than that of friends i think.
