I'll give a bit of constructive crit.:

1. If the butterfly was glowing like that it'd give some sort of cast-glow on the wolf. Its kinda like with a flashlight; if you stand off the the side some of the light(but not alot) will bounce off of the surface and show the figure more clearly.
2. The skull proportions of the wolf are a bit off. Either the muzzle needs to be made wider or the forehead and cheek/jaw area needs to be lessened.
3. The ears are fine. But just decrease the forehead area and extend them a bit more.
4. Don't be afraid to shade with black. Grey is fine, but it just gives more depth to a picture.
5. The tail wouldn't curve in like that naturally. It would have to bend/fold against the surface the wolf is laying on.

But it's a great piece nonetheless! I love the dramatic feel you gave to it.
