Welcome, Jazzfeather2! =D

Just saw the 11th episode of season 3: Checkmate.
Oh. Mai. Gosh. EPICNESS! 8D
I simply loved the episode Front Man, but I might, I just might, have a new favorite episode now. :3
Spoilers in small print. ^^
First off, in the eps leading up to it, it was fascinating to see Mozzie and Neal fight over the treasure because Neal didn't want to leave. It really strengthened Neal's character on the whole, and made me admire him for admitting such a tough thing to himself/Mozzie. Also, Keller coming back and kidnapping Elizabeth was an epic twist over everything.
Checkmate was the perfect episode to tie everything off. I loved the way it showed every character without a filter, revealing more about their personalities. Calm, level-headed Burke blew up at his partner and longtime friend after the disappearance of his beloved wife. The writers didn't try to hide his anguish, nor did they enlarge it unrealistically. The way they played Mozzie coming back was also well done, and allowed the viewer to accept him as a good character once more, even after his selfish actions concerning the treasure. And at the end... at the end, when Neal comes to the FBI, ready to turn himself in... that was simply awesome. You finally saw the part of Neal that has been lurking just beneath the surface. The honor and self-sacrifice that Burke's friendship has slowly cultivated in him.
Elizabeth was cooler than ever in this episode. I loved how she changed the room temperature to freak her captor into thinking his dog bite was infected -- that was a stroke of pure genius. :3
Besides the characters themselves, I enjoyed seeing Keller and Neal interact as partners. One can only imagine what a pair they must have been when they actually got along together. =P
And of course, the fight scene between Keller/Neal and then Keller/Peter near the end... MEEEEP! I can't voice my thoughts on that. That was just pure... pure... something. Better than epic. 8D
Not to mention the scene at the end about Neal's anklet. That was a terrific way to end the episode.
Okai. I'll shut myself up now. Sorry for rambling so long. I hope this post makes some kind of sense. =P
AWESOME. EPISODE. ^.^
