Oh hey interesting Walking Dead question for you guys, how did you find out about the series/what made you start watching/reading [whichever one you did first]?

I found out through the series from a close friend of mine and from my brother who both kept telling me I should watch it because I've always liked movies with zombies. I finally borrowed season one and haven't looked back since, haha.

I took mine to school, but I wasn't there yet. My teachers don't pace the rooms skimming over students' books, so I would've been fine even if I was there, as long as I wasn't reading it while the teacher was talking.

Yeah, my little brother was complaining after I told my mom not to let him read the comics. He watches the show, but I don't think my mom would appreciate him reading about what the governor does to Michonne.

Oh...yeah, that might not be appropriate. Poor Michonne, and Glenn heard everything. My teacher once caught me reading the volume where Michonne mutilated the Governor...she looked though it...

i can't imagine that situation going well. D: that's why i never took my TWD books to school during testing. and yet my Firefly book was just fine.

Yeah... it actually went better then expected XD She was a fan too. She asked if she could read it, pretended to "confiscate" it because it was a comic, and then read it the whole class period XD She is still my favorite teacher.

gonna go offtopic for like 30 seconds here but i have to know:
speaking of zombie movies, has anyone seen the movies 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later?? they're pretty violent and gorey, but really well written and the music is amazing <3

My stepfather and mom have seen them. My stepdad offered to show me, but my mom was there and said that I probably wouldn't sleep for weeks after watching 28 days later. Is it really that scary?

My stupid teachers do, that's why I hide what I read I put a school appropriate book cover over my murderious book. Or I just hide it under the table/desk. well, it's more startling than actual horror. i think the scariest part of both movies is that these diseases could potentially exist. beyond that, i think they're more interesting than 'scary' scary.

Both my horseriding instructor and my orchestra teacher are fans. My orchestra teacher doesn't have cable, so he watches them on Netflix. It frustrates me though, because I can't talk to him about the new episodes!

Yes! Well 28 Days Later at least. I haven't seen 28 Weeks Later for some reason, I don't even have a good excuse as to why, but I really need to watch it.
