Ok question, Do earth ponies do anything like... special? Like they could dig ( Dumb idea )

According to Lauren Faust, the show's developer, Earth ponies have a special connection to nature and animals. Though they lack the ability to consciously cast spells like unicorns or to fly and walk on clouds like Pegasi, their connection to nature makes them "just as necessary" as and "perhaps more important" than the other ponies.

As for choosing a earth pony, unicorn, or pegasus as your ponysona, I think this is something you should think about.

Unicorns tend to be very smart. They aren't physically strong, really, but they can take care of themselves using their wisdom.
Pegasi are usually nimble and quick. They are speedy and athletic. They take care of themselves using their speed.
Earth ponies are usually physically strong. Lots of muscle. They take care of themselves using sheer force.

So...yeah. :3 That might help you out a bit.

I always thought of the pony breeds in Dungeons and Dragons terms.

Earth Ponies: Strength and Constitution
Pegasi: Dexterity and Charisma
Unicorns: Wisdom and Intelligence
Alicorns: Pegasi and Unicorns put together (Epic race)

I want to run an MLP campaign for Dungeons and Dragons but I'd have to homebrew just about everything for it and come up with a plot. And deny all the alicorns because no way am I giving away that many bonuses.

So,in the world of school politics, the unicorns are the teacher's pets, the pegasi are the cool kids and the earth ponies are the jocks.
Hmm, I'm sensing a fanfic plot here.

Ummm.... I'm not too sure, but maybe Celestia is the "element" of the sun, Luna is the "element" of the moon and Cadance is the "element" of love? Maybe alicons all represent something.

Well no matter what faust wanted there are many other alicorns out there. I had an Alicorn character before fim even came out x3

I think it's fine to have an alicorn character, but when you do you have to be original in your design and that it would make sense for them to exist eg. Visiting from another kingdom instead of being " Celestia's lost daughter/son" it all plays into avoiding having a generic character and making a sue. I think a lot of people want them because they're unique and they want to have a character that stands out( like an OC that's the last of their kind/clan/tribe) I think what really matters is that IT MAKES SENSE, and doesn't break any magical rules.

Though I should shut up, since I have an alicorn oc. It doesn't really count, though. She's literally a figment of my ponysona's imagination. An imaginary friend, you might say. Plus, she's not always an alicorn. She not even always a pony. lol *shrug* Like I say, it doesn't count.
