heyy i'm new to this thread, my name is sam and my favorite pokemon are chatot, ampharos and murkrow :)

so, since there's been talk of sinnoh remakes, what are everyone's hopes for the games?

for a lot of us, swsh was a bummer because they didn't take their time, but i'm hoping the backlash they received is enough to get them to listen to us this time around. then again, nintendo isn't really losing much money, sales for swsh were super successful, and i still bought the dlc knowing i'd be somewhat disappointed, but regardless...

i'm excited for the return of contests! i know we had them in ORAS, but contests have always been my favorite part of pokemon even though they were only in hoenn and sinnoh games, and i guess sort of b/w with pokemon musicals.
i'm really hoping they'll actually take our criticisms of the last game into consideration. and i'm also excited because we'll see a lot of pokemon that didn't make the cut for swsh. i also hope the dex looks less like d/p and more like platinum's, because of the lack of fire types in d/p. like @wethotdog. said, i reallly hope they take their time because the sinnoh games mean a lot to a lot of people, and in my opinion are some of the best mainseries games yet.

one more thing is i hope they have a hard mode button LOL i've seen a lot of complaints about the difficulty, or lackthereof, in the recent games, and cynthia is famous for decimating children's dreams with her garchomp. that's part of what makes sinnoh special LOL but yeah i hope it has some difficulty to it because what's a diamond/pearl playthrough if cynthia doesn't oneshot your travel buddies at least once?

For D/P remakes I'm hoping they put the platinum part in the game and not as a dlc like we had with sw/sh, as I'm look really forward to seeing the mirror dimension.
And as dlc they put something entirely new to the game.
Maybe go more in depth of some mythical Pokémon like shaymin and crestelia.

I'd also like seeing the safari zone, but fear they will just change it to an open space without the "struggle".
Which would be really disappointing but without any info it can go either way.

On the matter of difficulty I always find it hard to say if something is easy (or not) as the playstyle and Pokémon on your team just influence it so much,
4 fire Pokémon against a water gym? Defeating every trainer you come across? Or speed running avoiding any non-mandatory event?
There's also the fact that fairy typing exists now so garchomp will prob just get oneshoted by a moonblast or smt.

I do agree with hoping that they don't mess this up ( too much) and taken the time to improve on the complaints players had with sw/sh

The third gen Pokemon Fit plush came out a few days ago in Japan and is slowly being released on the US Pokecen site <3<3<3 If you don't know what that is: basically it's a plush line where every single Pokemon for each generation gets made into a plush...yes including Qwilfish and Silcoon. I've been waiting for the third gen to come out so we can finally get into my favorite gens--my wallet isn't going to make it through the fourth gen, I have so many favorites from Sinnoh!

But yes I'm hoping I can buy a few from the first 3 gens since I don't actually have any yet (I partially blame the fact that Togepi hasn't been in stock). Does anyone else have any or is buying any?

I have a few of these! I have Jolteon, Ninetales, and Houndoom, and ordered Delcatty and Latios a few days ago. I'd love to pick up Skitty and Latias in the future as well.

My package was supposed to arrive on the 5th, but then they said the 3rd (yesterday), then got delayed until today. I'm not holding out for a delivery today, but I wish they wouldn't play with my heart like this.

If you can find a Milotic in the overworld, catch that and breed it instead! It's a lot easier than trying to catch a feebas, haha.

The new Nintendo connect did not announce a new game so we can only hope the info will come on the Anniversary Celebration connect, which was sort of expected but teasers would've been nice.

There's also a shiny Toxtricity event going on, depending on your region via app, store website or trainer club
