From what I've researched, it's really risky. Some of the deals might be great, but a lot of people claim to have had some major issues. I guess it could be fine, but I just want to warn people of the chance. I might just be hearing people complain about nothing, though, so I'm not sure.

of course. I can admire that, looking out for the fandom is a very sweet thing to do. I don't know the problems one could face with this website, but let us arrive to a conclusion.
like many websites, the goodwill site has its fair share of problems that some people will get to experience. so like buying from any seller, you should be wary when using it in case something goes wrong. some of us have good experiences, bur there's always a possibility of risk.

All new members have been added to the fanclub list. So many newbies!

If anyone does not see themselves on the list, please let me know. I've had trouble keeping up with it at times and I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't see a form.

I can agree with that. I really don't mean to insult anyone's knowledge of Furby hunting, I just haven't heard good things. It's always a risk, buying online, but it could be perfectly fine!

Honestly I've had better luck buying at thrift stores in person (value village is my best bet) and usually, if you ask an employee it isnt that much of a hastle to test them, even so i personally dont mind if they dont work, but i understand that some people like when they are in working condition.

Originally i'd only look for non damaged ones, which is why i only have my dalmation boy (still need help with names), his fur isnt badly damaged, but he doesnt work. But now i'm looking into possibly buying a broken one, taking off its fur and making a pattern, as well as using it as a test for customizing one.

tl;dr - I think that buying furbies in person is the better route, but buying online isnt terrible as long as its a reputable seller / safe site

Flea markets aren't that common here, so that's why i go with thrift stores. There's a local goodwill but they never have anything good so i just go the extra twenty minutes to a value village in another city. VHS tapes are also a rlly neat find, i hoard them, i have a vhs player but dont use it much anymore.

I used to watch the Spirit stallion of the cimarron vhs so much as a kid, I legit broke the vhs haha.

Dude VHS tapes are a hoard of mine
I’m so upset that I threw away my Shrek VHS that was such a legend
But I have absolutely no thrift stores around me, so I depend entirely on the farmers market that’s not too far from me. Thankfully, this nice old lady calls me up for Sunday flea markets when she’s found another furby in her shed
