Do you have more male characters or female characters?
I have more females than males. (just by one)
Which one did you originally have more of?
oh wow, I can't even remember. I think it was males originally.
How do you determine between male and female characters? (When you get a brand new character)
I usually look through unisex names first and then decided if it sounds more masculine or feminine and thus I get the characters gender. The design of the character also plays apart too.
