Yeah, it felt kinda dumb. Same with Mikan's. They both have explanations for why they were that way, though.

Mondo's comes from a Japanese fable about a boy who gets chased by tigers and runs so fast that he turns to butter, and Mikan's is a metaphor for lethal injection (after receiving the drug, she began to hardcore hallucinate, hence the overall.... weirdness)

That's interesting. Mondo's was ok, but the lethal injection thing didn't really make it through. They could've done it better.
