what [specific] things about someone's coding stands out or gives you ideas?
hmmnn, for me i think i love two things the most and they're polar opposites.
when a piece of coding is really simple, almost effortless, but still looks stunning
and eye catching, that'll always catch my attention. aaaand another thing that
stands out is something very busy. i love just staring at a post [wow this makes
me sound like a weirdo aha] and finding new parts to it that surprise me. oh,
and another thing is the lyrics or quote they use. i'm such a sentimental can't-find-
the-word dope that if i see something that's really poetic or meaningful i'll basic-
ally start jumping with joy.

what is the best piece of coding advice you ever received
the best i've ever received was probably similar to aurie's. lol. aurie dude your
coding has a style called 'amazing', 'super rad', 'stunning' and 'utterly perfect'.

what [specific] things about someone's coding stands out or gives you ideas?
it's all mostly in the fact of originality. when a see pieces of coding that's totally out of the box or if i can tell the coder spent a lot of time on it, those are the ones that catches my eye the most. and seeing that most everyone have their own coding 'style', i love looking through their coding to pick out all the unique little quirks on them that makes their pieces original to them, if that makes any sense. xD
what is the best piece of coding advice you ever received?
truthfully, i haven't had much advice on coding. however if i had to pick the best, it's just to go with the flow. for most of my forms, i normally don't have a readily idea inside my head upon beginning a piece of coding. usually, i just slap a bunch of stuff on the post and work from there - which can be rather time-consuming, but once i get into the rhythm of things, it works out.

alright, so i have a bit of a question for those who are coding on google chrome:
have any of you guys noticed a difference on some of the characters when trying to code on the browser?
and by differences, i'm talking about the small wide texts suddenly looking funny and some of the formats not fitting like they had before. i mean, i come home one day from a football game and open up my laptop to find things just a little... different. i just wanted to know whether or not this happened to just me. lol

      @thor;
as i said previously, my coding looks weird when i'm on my dad's computer and normal on my own....
also mina and ailu's coding doesn't work for me at all... it doesn't fit for some reason

YES. YES. THANK GOD IT'S NOT JUST ME. my wide text characters have gone all wobbly and
look really frail. idk if it'll go back or not, though. chrome is always pulling stunts like that on me. lol.

@wally&shay : I KNEWWW ITTTTT ASDFGHJKL; ughhh this is soo annoying since i can hardly even use wide-text when it's like this. i really hope it goes back, but it'll put a damper on things if it doesn't. xc

its based on your monitor size. from web designing, I can say that you really got to wing it and create a general width. some people got those gigantic mac monitors that can view basically all coding with ease (trust me), and then the 7-inch tablet owners have screens that basically hates coding.

why? its that our coding's dumb (in the non-tech smart sense). from my knowledge, most forums use a "resize" to fit screen function, so the reply section is wider on larger monitors (usually by a %). pictures also do this to adjust to your computer and phone, making the size friendly for several devices. but our coding is molded based on the size of the post box, right? so when the post box increases/decreases based in your device, the coding will look different (as it doesn't resize in scale).

this is to prevent let's say "size 85" to look huge on a mac, and microscopic on a phone. "size 85" will always be "size 85"

this is also why some screen captures may not totally fit the post section (and require further resizing), if that makes sense.

so when in doubt if your hard work may be to big, screenshot and replace the image with a picture. the picture will resize with the monitor/screen size so both mac monitors and tablets will view the same (for me at least).

i code with google chrome. chrome doesn't like some symbols either (like the anchor). as for fonts and wide/small text, i don't see a difference (i use safari also). but in think IE doesn't read small caps or something.

google chrome recently updated making wide text fonts appear differently than before.
i know this because i literally just updated chrome and now everything is wrong. ugh.
i'm gonna find away to undo the update and just start screenshotting all my coding so the fonts look right.
