first, we have yurio in his full, glorious outfit with glasses, jacket, shirt, and gloves.

then he takes his jacket off

next we have him making the pose (where he slid down on the ice) and gloves + glasses are gone.

but we have the scene where he throws away his glasses and his gloves are still on, meaning it happened before the pose.

and the moment yuri throws away his glasses is the moment otabek appears on the ice.

I have a confession to make

I used to think that Yuri On Ice was one of those over-rated animes, seeing tons of stuff about it online (especially here on CS). I remember just staring at signatures with Viktor winking in episode 1 and thinking "Seriously?". I remember thinking that it was just one of those sports animes that just have fanservice for the girls.
Then I heard about how beautifully gay the show was. If you truly know me, I am a hardcore fujoshi. So guess who binge-watched the entire show in one day? I fell in love with Yuri On Ice, and cannot wait for season 2 to come out.

I also used to think that Viktor was a middle aged woman. It was because of that winking face ><
