So today is my birthday and my friend tells me there's a confirmed date for season two. She says its sometime in May. Her birthday is in May. So I tell her that's her birthday present. Her response is a very subdued "woo". At least she gets them on her birthday I just finally know when they're coming.

I don't think there is a confirmed date yet, and the estimated date was around fall/winter 2017. Anime takes a long time to animate, so May is highly unlikely. Try keeping an eye out for the creators though. They'll have the confirmed date.

It's definitely not happening in May. Anime is released by season. Spring 2017 anime starts in April and summer 2017 anime begins in July. It would be unheard of for a big title like Yuri on Ice to start in the middle of a season.
