This is for an art contest to draw a mate for the brown wolf (Still a WIP). My coloring design is derived from a bird called the Elegant
Trogon (which is Arizona's most famous bird) and from a deer/an ancient species of Irish elk

I thought that the trogon in particular was a perfect match for the other wolf, as she reminds me of the female elegant trogon, which is brown with some white on its head and body. The shape of the antlers are designed after the elk as I mentioned earlier. The coloration on the horns is reminiscent of the color deer's antlers turn when they are shedding off the antler felt, as well as the "fiery" red breast of the Trogon. The neon blue on the edge of the feathers is a compliment to the neonish-blue sheen the trogon's green feathers give off naturally. The Chinese character on the right leg means flight, which I thought was appropriate for the wolf, as he has gained the power of flight through some genetic mutation or evolution to suit his environment. And the timer definitely lies. I only worked on this for about two and a half hours, but I was doing a lot of others things and went to work for five hours and forgot to close it =D I drew the tail, wings, necklace, and antlers myself, but the base of the drawing is from a color-me-in. I think that's pretty much it. I hope everyone likes it
*The third, fifth, and sixth edits were to remove the WIP cover or fix an issue with the saving mechanism, not for an actual edit
