they dont smell to bad! you just have to keep up with their cage! And despite what most people would think it is not good to bathe them often.It makes them smell worse. You are only supposed to give them baths ones every 2 months! But if you keep up with their cage they really dont smell! I have 2 and when people come over they cant ever guess that the ferrets are here!

yeah I my mom said no to getting my first ferret she said they smell. I went behind her back and brought him home and it took her about a week to notice i had him! After that she has let me own up to 3 at a time!
