Intro
Toru is a logician, a self
made philosopher of sorts, who tends to spend most of
his day contemplating on new ways to live life. Though he doesn't
exactly create objects to make the world a better place, he is an inventor
in the manner that he tries to find a solution to every problem.
He's ingenious as he is analytical, and is seen by the rest of the clan as the omega,
the lowest of the low, an outcast. Why someone would think so lowly of him is quite obvious.
His social life failure revolves around anothers fears in which they wish to evade the new. He,
on the other hand, embraces it, analyzes every inch of it's being until he finally understands it.
His amiable ways toward the 'latest' often get into him many a predicament,
especially since his clan mates reject it so much. Perhaps that's why he's so fascinated by the new...
Being isolated from new things must have made him crave them, which eventually
grew into an obsession.

As a Lover
Toru isn't very confident around females, but he's not exactly shy either.
He enjoys socializing with the opposite gender but rarely flirts. He'll only indulge in more...interesting converse
if he knows the female very well, and even then he tends to be more discrete about his ultimate interests.
Usually he just admires from afar, but once he displaces his virtually cynical ways for a female he'll begin to show his affections by talking more to her, offering his assistance when possible and most commonly by inviting her to hunt alone with him for a bit. He isn't one to exhibit himself or put on flamboyant displays, instead he tries to gain a females mutual ardor in small and simple ways. Examples of such behaviour are him giving her flowers, complimenting her, or offering comfort during tough times.
He's not particularly controlling at this point, but once they become established mates or another male poses a threat he'll immediately become very defensive of his companion.

As a Mate
Toru's personality all most morphs with his position as a mate.
He's very protective when it comes to his kin, though he's not possessive or over protective.
He's just... cautious. Something relatively common for most males, especially during the time of pregnancy.
Being of amicable character he's very caring and demonstrative with his affection.
He tends to evade altercation, but if you do allow verbal conflict he'll most likely just try and make some sort of pact with you.
Seeing as he tends not to foster grudges he's very forgiving, and is willing to do anything to make his mate happy.
When she is unhappy he'll turn himself inside out in his struggle to change the world for her, just to make her smile.
Such displays of amity often lead females to thinking he's desperate, which often gets him hurt.

It's very difficult to attract his attention.
He needs a female who compliments his general nature and who can accept the fact they may spend little time together
when they become mates seeing as he's a dedicated hunter and collector; even if he does shower his mate with tokens of his affection.
He'd prefer a female who is wittier than him. Seeing as he's not headstrong he won't require a mate who's consciousness is more advanced than his own but it is favoured that she is.

As a Father
Even if he'll never admit it Toru has a secret admiration for cubs.
He's convinced every cub is beautiful and special in it's own way, whether it suffers from some sort of deformation or not. Personally I find he'd make an exceptional sire. He's fairly unfamiliar with cubs and Im assuming by his current disposition his fascination would draw him closer to his lineage, further deepening their relationship. He'd be eager to teach them what he knew, like hunting techniques as well as perhaps execute some fighting moves. Though he wouldn't be too anxious to show his disputing style seeing as he's not too fond of war fare.

Views on Warfare
Toru has a strange abhorrence for warfare.
Even with his strange fascination towards it he refuses to promote it, and tends to dislike people who do.
No one knows why he hates it so much. He's strangely more compact for a male
and shows potential as a warrior, but he's decided to leave his aptitude for
altercation untapped.
Because he has little experience with the topic he isn't exactly the greatest fighter, one of his greatest faults.

General Nature
Toru's penetrating mind is
astonishing. His level of intellectuality is all most off the charts.
Whatever he lacks in physical expertise he certainly makes up for in wit.
Though he's an outcast he's now
gaining more respect and is now beginning to attain the reputation as a strategizer.
Basically he creates a plan of action based on his fellow hunters abilities.
He's found success in this area and plans to become lead hunter by harnessing his newfound talent.

He is predominantly
kind, jocular and loyal.
If he sees someone struggling with something he won't hesitate to ask if they would
like some assistance. For example if he saw an elder who had some trouble getting up he'd rush right on
over and help her, no questions asked.
His pacific character has led him to being somewhat the peace keeper of the clan (something truly needed in such a throng).

Hobbies
Seeing as Toru is such a nimble character
he's not easily amused. As a cub he used to pester Selene for fun, but now that he's an adult he's developed
a more mature way of devoting his time. Customarily he spends his time training and hunting, but he also collects things
(Ill embellish on this a bit later), and enjoys star gazing.

Organized
Toru is a very organized character. He likes to have everything in it's proper place,
in specific with his collection. He piles his collectibles and organizes them according to colour
shape and size.

+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

;;{Likes};;

Collecting
Toru loves to accrue materials such as rocks and feathers.
Seeing as he's intrigued by foreign objects it's no wonder that he likes to collect them.
He'll usually store his treasures towards the back of his cave for later inspection.

Day Time
Turo enjoys the diurnal course more than the time
after dark. Why? He's just more comfortable when roaming the forest
and training during the day. He occasionally goes on midnight hunts when he
has to clear his head, but not often.

+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

;;{Dislikes};;

Dishonesty
Toru will not stand for chicanery.
Contemplation on the subject as well as further review of consciousness
have led him to the conclusion that lying only breeds corruption,
something that is too much to risk in clan life.

Cocky Males
Though Toru isn't very possessive of his lovers,
like all males he still becomes envious when he spots a male flirting with his girl.
He'll occasionally react by inching close to her, but he'll usually just leave the situation
to unravel on it's own. He'll trust his beau to handle the situation herself by telling the rivalling male
to back off, should the male pose some difficulty he will step in and assist his infatuate
with scaring off his rival.

~+~

;;{Ambition(s)};;
It has all ways been Toru's dream to advance to lead hunter, and
eventually work his way up to tribe leader. He wants to make a race which revolves
around peace and serenity. He hopes that by creating such a clan he may be able to influnce
his neighbours to do so as well, and to perhaps settle pacts with old adversaries.

+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

;;{Theme Song(s)};;
Abandon all ships- Geeving
This song reflects a portion of his history, and perhaps also his sense
of inner discord towards the end of {and beginning of} his story.
However, this 'theme song' displays little to no aspect of his personality, just so you know.
I haven't quite yet been able to find a song I think 'perfectly' suits his personality.

I don't intend to reveal
any of the history Ive made in my head to anyone, as a portion of it is rather personal.
But just trust me when I say, if you heard it, you'd find this song most definately picks up bits and
pieces of it. The background musics is also very harmonious with the tale of Toru's
parents and his dark secrets.

+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

;;{Weakness(s)};;

Little Battle Training
Toru has very little battle training, and as a result
has poor fighting techniques. Even so, he is a formidable opponent
in battle, but not the strongest. He'll rarely return hostility,
but if you do manage to annoy him just enough, don't think he
won't rip your throat out. Or try to at least...

Lust for Blood
On occasion Toru may see clips of his past and begin to strangely
lust for blood. As you may have perceived by now the last thing he wants to do
is kill someone, but sometimes he just feels the need to dig his claws into someones
flesh. No one but him knows he experiences such things, and he fears as he struggles
to defeat his abnormal habit the truth about him may be revealed...

Naive
Toru is extremely naive
in the sense that he believes anyone and everyone can change.
Though granted it is possible, it's not something
he should trust people to do.

Curious
Curiosity kills the cat.
The perfect proverb for this paragraph.
Being the intelligent character that he is Toru loves
to explore and dissect, but he should learn to treat
such situations with more caution. Especially
when he doesn't know much about that certain creature
or item.

Canines
Toru's calcified projectile didn't grow in until
he was a juvenile, and when they did grow in they inclined
towards him rather than downward. Though only slightly, it never
grew in such a way that would harm his mouth or gum tissues.
Yet their hooked in enough to make him look kinda funny.

+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

;;{Strengths};;

Intelligence
As I have established Toru is an
extremely intelligent Smili. Well, how
intelligence is a strength is pretty
self explanatory, so I don't
feel Ill need to adorn this area.

Tusks
While it makes things difficult to eat
Toru's tusks are a deadly weapon. Most Smili's
have yet to encounter a contender
who bears a set of tusks like Buto's, and so since
many are unfamiliar with such an arm
they do not know how to counter it.
Making it the perfect battle gear since Toru has
naturally mastered how to wield them.

Claws and Heavy Build
Toru's claws are thick and short, they grow slowly
but because their so compressed they rarely fall. Their also hooked for
better grip.
His build is heavier than most male Smili's but not by much. Though his
forearms and neck in particular are more compact.

+---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

;;{History};;
[size=85]How I came to be with my clan no one knows.
There are many a theory how I simply appeared by the edge of camp.
Some say the stork hadn't gotten enough sleep and had dropped it's precious bundle, others rumour
I was abandoned by a rogue who could no longer support her family. Whatever the cause may be, I was found by a small tribe by the Somalian border drenched in blood, and I can't say they
were happy to accept this new...affiliate.
No one was willing to take in the disfigured little cub who had been corralled by the senior warriors, and so, I was
confined to a den by the edge of the cubs hollow. Eventually, I was trusted enough to roam around camp. But even then I wasn't entirely accepted by the others.
As I grew it became evident to me I wasn't exactly the most popular of the whelps. I was secluded from the others, along with a few other cubs.
Their names were Selene, Drone, and Clicket.
We were sort of like the 'geek group.' And it only seemed fit to the others that we were to be the subjects of their crude humour, though this only made me more determined to prove my worth. I was more positive than the other cubs in the group. Unlike them I tried to ignore the other apprentices, and though I can't say it was easy, I can say I managed to generally brush off their comments.
Clicket was a happy go lucky character, while Selene and Drone were more reserved. Clicket was a half breed, the son of both a rogue and a clan member.
Drone was albino while his sister Selene bore two massive canines which seemed to drag her head down.
But even so I was the worst of the lot. Not only was I not clan born but I had a birth defect.
I managed to pull through, thanks to my friends. We supported each other, like a family would have.
I didn't remember what it was like to have a family, so I sort of adopted Selene and the others as my siblings, assuming this was what it felt like to have kin. Little did I know I would be betrayed by my supposed 'kinship' in the future, and that I would lose everything I loved most because of my obsession.

I used to all ways joke around with the guys about Selene's
fangs, which all ways made her blush and growl.
We had a lot of good times together, the four of us.
Of course, it was too good to last.
Eventually we grew as cubs tend to do and we began to take positions in the clan as scouts, warriors etc. We spent less and less time together, and eventually drifted apart.
I could barely believe it when Selene told me she was going out on her first real mission as a scout.
It wasn't long before she left me and the guys back at camp, praying she'd be all right.
Most of the time that we were off duty me, Droin and Clicket indulged in deep conversation about our love life.
(( I based this off a conversation I heard my guy friends were having. X3 ))
"You know what I hate?" Clicket snorted.
"What?" asked Buto flicking up a brow.
"When females are all like, 'if you loved me, you'd that when I was glancing at that guy it was nothing.' " he groaned.
"Like Star checkin' out Reese the other day?" Buto chuckled, elbowing Clicket with a wink.
"Ya, or like, 'I think we're going too fast. Maybe we should slow down?" Droin snorted.
Buto and Clicket chuckled, nodding in agreement.
Droin smiled, his ears pricked. "And then they get all angry at you for saying that." he chuckled.
At this Buto blinked, staring at Droin with a lifted brow, while Clicket cocked his head in surprise.
Seeing their expressions Droin stopped laughing and stared back, twitching his tail tip in bewilderment.
"What...?! What did I say...?!"

But even with all the rich converse and captivating sights of spring I couldn't help but miss Selene. The thought of her being alone in the wilderness with an elder to find new unexplored land was discomforting, and I even felt tempted to go after her on occasion. Though I usually managed to convince myself any attempt to find her would be futile.

Months passed and I grew a little taller.
Much had changed since Selene had left, especially as breeding season approached. The younger, less experienced males were all ready moving in on their selected females; though I showed little interest in finding a mate. If I was going to settle down, it had to be with someone I truly loved. And frankly, I just didn't feel any emotion for any female at the moment.

Time passed along with breeding season.
It had been over a year since Selene had left and I couldn't help but feel a tinge of misery at the thought. Was she ever going to come back?
I sighed, glancing up at the sky as
my mind whirled with memories of the fae. I missed her so much...it was all most unbearable to think she would never return...
My ears pricked when I heard a yowl of surprise from the entryway. With a bristle I poked my head out of my cave, eyes wide. "She's back! Selene and Raju are back!" came a yip. I smiled and burst out of my den, flanked by Droin and Clicket as I headed towards the camp entrance. My paws tingled with anticipation as I bounded towards the horde of Tribe members which had grouped around the nettle-bush gateway; I wanted to be the first to greet her!
I halted at the entrance, my smile wide as Raju trotted past us towards Talon, our tribe leader. She was followed by a beauteous fae, who eagerly cantered over to me and Clicket. Droin dashed over to meet the female and I stood blinking in bewilderment beside Clicket, who looked just as confused. Where was Selene?
As I raked my gaze across the newcomer I began to recognize her. It was Selene! She was much slimmer and had grown into her fangs, but she was Selene! I blushed a bit
as she nuzzled me in greeting, her gaze twinkling in the morning light like dew on a rose.
"Hey Buto! Long time no see eh?"
"Ya. Long time no see." I said with a gulp, shuffling my forepaws a bit nervously.
It had been too long. What if she had changed? What if now they were no longer compatible...? Then what?
I shook my head to clear it. Im probably just over exaggerating...

Days went by and it came to pass
that my suspicions had been wrong. To my relief, we still had a lot in common.
But as the boys and I caught up on old times with Selene, I noticed Clicket was a bit more than just friendly.
Soon enough he began to openly flirt in front of me and Droin with Selene, and it wasn't long before he asked her to be his mate. I felt like my heart had been torn directly from my chest when I heard the news. Though I had anticipated it, I still found it difficult to believe it was happening.
Droin wasn't any happier about his sister courting with the jocular warrior any more than I was. But what were we to do? If Selene wanted to be Clicket's mate, it wasn't my place to intervene.
For the next few days I tried to refrain from the couple, knowing I may become tempted.

Breeding season approached once more
and the buzzing sounds of spring returned to camp. Faes speaking urgently to one another in corners, males growling and snarling impressively at each other.
As my gaze flickered across the clearing I caught sight of a huntress glancing at me.
She smiled shyly and I smiled back, my tail flicking.
I wasn't aware of Droin padding over, and I jolted when he spoke.
"Go on and ask her out." Droin said shoving me to my paws.
"She's all over you! Go for it!" he chuckled.
"I don't even know who she is!" I growled.
"Is that all? Her names Pandora, now go!" Droin said shoving me towards her.
By now the fae had returned to conversing with her friends and didn't
notice me as I was propelled over. As I tried to writhe out of Droin's grasp I slipped
and barreled into the female. We tumbled across the forest floor, tossing debris
as we went. Finally, we skid to a stop by the edge of camp.
I blinked my eyes weakly open and groaned. "Ow." I muttered. I blushed when I noticed
I had landed on top of Pandora. Our gazes locked for a moment, but shaking my head to clear it
I quickly stood up and took a step back, blushing a bit. "Er, sorry about that."
"It's okay." she said, her cheeks colored as she got to her paws. I shuffled
nervously, avoiding her gaze.
Smiling, she cocked her head "But I think you'd better give me your name; just in case something develops." I glanced up at her, a brow lifted. She winked, and with a crooked smile I nodded, "The names Buto."

Five months later she was expecting my cubs.
I was ecstatic when I had heard, but at the same time nervous. What if I wasn't a good father?
I made up my mind that day that no matter what happened, Id all ways put my cubs first. No matter what.

Stretching I flexed my claws, surprised when I noticed Pandora was outside talking to Bass; the lead hunter.
"Your on morning patrol." said Bass gruffly. My eyes widened and I bristled, bursting out of my den. "She's bearing cubs! She can't go on patrols!" I said, my ears flattened. "It's okay Toru," Pandora said placing her tail tip on my shoulder. "Im not heavy with cubs, I can still hunt." she said soothingly. I glanced at her, opening my mouth to object, but no words came out. I could feel Bass's icy gaze raking across my pelt, but I didn't care. Snorting at Bass I cantered into my den, hackles raised.

I waited patiently,
by the edge of camp for her to return, my pelt quivering apprehensively as I paced to and fro.
I smiled, pricking my ears when I spotted the patrol over at the great oak, which wasn't any more than 100 meters away. Glancing around wildly, I searched for the pelt I longed so much to see.
But I didn't see Pandora come in with the others. My heart beat began to quicken when I noticed their heavy wounds. Bass trudged into camp, his eyes veiled as he approached me. I bristled in worry, "Where's Pandora?" I asked, my teeth clenched.
"Im sorry Buto, but Pandora was killed in a border skirmish." he said solemnly. I stepped back, my eyes wide with disbelief. When I realized he was serious, I felt my vision haze and I burst towards my den, my eyes clouded by tears of hatred and grief.
Memories flooded into my mind, threatening to drive out the sanity I so desperately clung to.
The stories she used to tell me by the meadow, the feathers which we collected by the brook... I plucked a single blue feather out of my pile, settling down by the back of my den as I let the memories flow through me.
"Wanna hear a story?" asked Pandora with a giggle.
"Sure." Buto smiled. He slumped down beside his mate, nuzzling her lovingly.
She told him his favorite story, the one about the blue jay and the scorpion who
fought for the land by the river. At the end of the story she slipped out a blue feather,
similar to a jay's. "For your collection." she smiled, nuzzling him.
"I found it and thought immediately of you."
Buto took the feather, his eyes wide with awe. "Wow...it's so beautiful.
Thanks Pan." he smiled, licking her forehead.

All I ever did from then on was stay in my cave and deplore.
It was a dark time for me, the lack of sunlight had made me weak, nothing could comfort me anymore.
Selene and the others tried to drag me to my wits, but I ignored their words of comfort, isolating myself from the outside world. It only brought pain and misery, it was better this way. It made me feel happy.

Then, one day, a fire broke out on the tribe grounds.
Warriors and hunters rushed to aid the young and elderly, while queens scuttled across camp; kits hanging limply from their jaws. I wrinkled my muzzle in distaste at the scent of smoke and struggled to my paws, accelerating towards the exit. My optics broadened when I realized I had forgotten Pandora's blue feather in my cave. By this time the camp was empty, flames blazing by the contour. But, I barely noticed as I cantered towards my den. I heard Selene screech, though her voice was muffled as I picked my way towards my cavern. My eyes lit up as I spotted something blue, drifting on the breeze. A smile tugged at the edge of my features as I limped towards it. Screams and shouts rippled behind me as I made my way for the plumage, managing to grip in delicately in my mouth. Smoke writhed around me, making me gag, but I ignored it as I turned around to head back towards the others with my prize. I didn't make it too far before my vision fogged, and I toppled over.

When I awoke, I was surprised to find something heavy weighing down on me. I grumbled and shoved it off, snorting as I glanced around. The area around me was drenched with the scent of smoke

I looked through the form, though it seems to remind me of warriorcats... Amara's aren't rogues, they live in a group so he can't be 'half-clan'... I suggest you try to fix it up a little in the time left before judging, I've also noticed that many parts of the real form is missing...
