Kiena is a very polite, generous, and kind Akuren; but every Akuren has its faults. Kiena is not a good hunter, yet the lack of hunting skills makes her an excellent warrior in tough situations. What she lacks in stealth and speed, she makes up for in agility, strength, and loyalty. She will fight to the death for her loved ones and members of the clan.
Akuren’s back-story/history:
Kiena was born in a wonderful home deep in the Epouli Jungle; Brothers and sisters, a mother that hunted, and a warrior father. She had plenty of friends and many plants to play with. She fell in love with a young male named Rouli; and the two of them had the best of times.

“What do you want to do now?” Kiena asked Riouli lazily. The suns were bright and clouds were plenty; perfect time for cloud-watching. “I don’t care. I jus’ want to kill these annoying things,” he replied as he killed another Sartek. He began to beat it with rocks and sticks. “You know shouldn’t mess with those. They can kill you faster than a Tarsos can catch flies!” she giggled. Riouli shrugged and left the Sarteks alone. He stood up with his chest puffed out, “we are going to earn our Warrior titles,’ Riouli decided, ‘... and catch a Shebu!” Kiena gasped and sat-upright, ‘But Riouli! Tarsos have spiky backs- and two horns on the tip of their noses. They say their mouths are like bird beaks and they fool you! They cant see, but they can still smell and hear you. They are much bigger and powerful than us! It takes forever to take them down and if you can’t... you face certain death. And I don’t wan to die! I’m not going’, she growled and swiftly moved into a defensive position,’ and you can’t make me.” Riouli was surprised by Kiena’s determination and cringed; nevertheless, he wanted to be a Warrior. “Please come with me. I thought you loved me....’ he pleaded as he circled her. Kiena sighed, she had to go now. “Fine, but we are not eating them,” she teased pawing his ear. Riouli yipped with glee, “I’m leading, so keep up!” He ran past her with great haste. Kiena excitedly followed close behind him. We will be Warriors! ~ They arrived at the Shebu territory at dark. The forest felt like it was choking her, not letting her live. Kiena pressed her flank against Riouli’s and tried to stop shaking. “I’m scared. I want to go home,’ she whined. Riouli slowed his pace and murmured, ‘We can’t turn back now. Here,’ he gave her his feather and nuzzled her ear, ‘This will keep you safe. I lo-,’ he stopped abruptly. In front of them lay a Tarso three-times their size. Kiena sniffed it, ‘It smells of youth... and sickness. We should leave it alone.” She scouted the territory for signs of the others. Riouli hit the Shebu with his tail and jumped back. He twitched his ears and sliced his throat open. The Tarso began to make odd crying sounds, it got to its paws and stomped at him; then fell dead. Kiena bolted to Riouli and gasped. His fur was drenched in the Tarso’s blood.. And more Tarsos were coming to the young one’s aid. Riouli grabbed Kiena’s scruff and threw her against the tree. “Climb!’ he demanded as he scurried up another tree. It was too late; the others already saw them in the trees. They began to swarm the trees and ground around them, making sure they had no escape. Kiena dug her claws deep into the crunchy bark and closed her eyes. “Kiena,’ Riouli barked, ‘when I say to go, we are going to jump into that JubleBerry bush and make a run for it!” Kiena nodded and braced herself. “..And go!’ he howled; but instead of jumping into the bush with her, he jumped on a Tarso’s head. He ran in the opposite direction and led them far away. Meanwhile, Kiena could hear her heart drumming in her chest, ready to give out. She kept going, believing Riouli was still behind her; not knowing that his body lay mangled in the grass.

Kiena woke slowly and looked into the dew puddle. She sighed and looked at his surroundings; everything was beautiful. The trees seemed like they would touch the sunny, light-violet sky any day now, the grass was hard and pointy, and all the plants were lush and beautiful. A feather settled on her snout and the grass shifted with the comforting breeze. She sneezed and lifted her head. It had been hundreds of years since the accident and she still hadn’t got the memory out his mind. She sighed and began to put on her armor; only to be interrupted by the Trainees. “Warrior Kiena? Kiena! Where are you?” they called. She stood up and shook her fur, ‘Here I am!” The clan was the most important thing right now; not her memories.

Yes, the coloring took take me a day to complete. Im very proud of it ^.^
The red marks on her back, muzzle, and paw are scars from the Tarso accident.

- 1.They are only about a foot and a half tall
2.The long ears allows for great hearing
3.Their short muzzles are a sort of defence against the Sartek as they can see the ground better
4.Sartek are not actually enemies- just pesky little creatures
