Story/Background/History-It was around midnight when Silver was born, near the ocean, almost completely frozen. The furless ball was curled near his mother's belly for warmth to put on his tender, new flesh.
It was a few weeks later when he first opened his eyes to his new world. New life. New start. He wasn't in his cave though. He was moving. His mother had carried him to the ocean where Silver had been born. The sent was covered by new layers of snow since then and Silver did not recognize it at first. His mother lifted the child off her back and layed him solfly on the fluffy snow. Silver's eyes glimmered in the cold sun as he stared off into the ocean that mimicked those eyes.
Once Silver began walking, he took himself to the ocean. It was at least once a week he would venture off into the blizzards just to see that frozen, never ending stretch of water. He didn't enjoy nothing more than this.
At birth, Silver's mother dressed him in golden armor. It wasn't Silver's type of armor when he was old enough to think about it. He wanted something to remind him of his ocean. He walked down there again that day, telling his mother the usual excuse. But today was different. He wanted new armor and a good memory of the water.
He dove into the sea green water and swam his fasted as deep as he could. He swam before but never this deep. He learned no fears when it came to his peaceful spot but, when he needed air, he learned quick. He swam up to the surface and panted for oxygen as he climbed back up to the icey land. He was upset that he found nothing useful as new armor.
Silver turned away to leave for home. As soon as he spun a complete 180 degrees he noticed a small animal on the ground. A seahorse. He plucked a single scale from the creature and saw how it shimmered in the sunset. He spent the rest of the night risking his life trying to get more scales from the beautiful animals.
It took months of secrets, but Silver managed to get enough scales to form his own armor into the shape of the ocean creature, the seahorse. He completed his set of armor in this way.
Silver proudly walked to his cave in his new accessories (he even got some shells to make small trinkets out of to wear). His family was in awe and wondered how he managed this. Silver explained his adventures of nearly drowning every time he went underwater and told the stories of the scales and shells and how he made the new things he wore.
Of course his family was disapointed that he would risk his life and possibly never seeing his family again in order to create armor, but they pretended that didn't bother them. Anyway, the armor was too stunning to get angry at it.
Silver wears his armor and still visits the ocean every day, but now he has memories and new armor to watch glisten in the sun along with the water itself. Even the snow around him seemed to sparkle a bit more than usual when he thought "I wouldn't regret making this armor, ever..."
