-Story/Background/History-
It was a dark, cold night when Obscurus decided she wanted to explore; her parents were still in the den, asleep. They never have fun. A smirk played on her lips as she walked across a log above a lake, her paw barely touching it as she practically glided across. She didn’t want her parents to catch her out exploring again since the last time they made her sit in the den and not move for an hour. She turned her head to look back at her home. She could take care of herself, she didn’t need them and she knew it. She watched the cave for a few minutes, before turning her attention back to the forest that lay front of her. She caught on to an unusual scent when the wind blew. Once she was over the log she got a better sniff, it didn’t smell like any wolf or critter she was used to. What was that strange smell? She followed it, not wanting her parents to catch, she took to the shadows, so the sun wouldn't illuminate her crystals. Her tail swished from side to side while she slowly and carefully crept forward following the scent. It smelled sweet. Finally she stepped through a group of bushes and into an opening where the scent was stronger than ever. It was a field full of strangely colored flowers, but they were not ordinary flowers, they seemed to have an aura around them and animals tended to stay away from them. She gazed at the beautiful flowers, wanting to go pick some and take them home, but knowing she shouldn't. She smiled, knowing she would enjoy this. She ran into the middle of the field and tried to get other animals to join her. None of them would so she played by herself, losing track of time. She knew he was going to be in trouble when she got home. She was crazy and adventurous but when it came to her being in trouble she hated it. She whined as she slowly crawled out of the field with her tail and head down. She was terrified to know what her parents were gonna do when she got back.
Obscurus cringed when she got back home. She slowly walked in, not taking her eyes off her parents. They turned when she entered. "Obscurus...where have you been?" her mother asked softly as she walked over to her. "I got bored sitting at home all the time. I just went a couple minutes away. I found this really cool field with weird flowers." Her father looked over at her, then toward her mother, he hated seeing her worried. "We were worried sick. We woke up and you were gone." Obscurus just nodded, she knew what it felt like to worry about somebody she cared about. She backed away from them silently apologizing. She go and lay in the corner of the den she remained in when she was punished.
***A year later****
Obscurus jumped when her father called, she wasn’t a pup anymore, not for a while now, but she was treated as one. "I'm coming" She howled before picking up her lunch. She had used her head crystal as a way to lure a small deer. She waited for it to notice the glow and she sat in a motionless pose. When the deer got close enough she pounced at it. When she got back to the den she watched as her father hugged her mother. She stared toward her father 'What's goin on dad?' she asked worried. Her father just stared at her for a few minutes. "I’m not a pup anymore!" she yelled as she sat down. 'I can handle it.' "I know you can. So I'll take you out hunting now" he said smirking. She huffed at his dad. 'I already hunted, got myself a little deer.' she said acting proud. She walked out of her home and dragged the deer over to the entrance. She lay down right there and began to tear into it, she chewed it as she thought about her life. Her past and future. Would she ever be like her father? Or even her mother? She decided that only time could tell.
-3 facts about GdCs-
They live mostly on islands near the either North or South poles
Pups whose eyes have opened are expected to fight
The number of crystals on a GdCs grave indicates how many pups that particular GdC had
GdC pups or GdCs who have never mated are buried with an upside down crystal
(I put 4 cause 3 is an odd number and I'm kinda OCD)
