Shizumi of the Hakari tribe

Postby Shiko Hayashi » Wed Jul 20, 2011 2:05 pm

Hope you like her apache. She's my first female character in a long time.

Name: Shizumi
Gender: Female
Age: 5 years old
Tribe: Hakari
Rank: Scholar
Personality: Shizumi's namesake is based off of silence. And for a reason. Shizumi is completely mute. She has no voice to express her innermost feelings. No voice to explain her thoughts. This puts a burden on her and she often appears tired or sad. But Shizumi has a unique way of placing her mark on people. Somehow, one way or another, people who meet her always walk away feeling as if something about them has changed. She has a strong and pure soul, barve and prepared to fight until the end. Even then she'll continue to fight. Don't be fooled by her lack of voice, Shizumi is quite capable of taking care of herself. But in those rare moments, when she's alone, she let's the sorrow of the world crash around her. Highly intune with the world, Shizumi is able to hear it's voice as it cries out to her, crying tears of blood.
Main Element: The Essence of Water
Markings: Shizumi has a cross shaped tear marking under both of her eyes, giving her the appearance fo always crying tears of red. This feature stands out greatly when her mask is off, as it's the only color on her fur that is unnatural among the silvery blue. The black and red on her body largely come from her father's side, who was a black and red wolf. Her mother had the same silver blue fur as Shizumi does in between.
Art of Your Wolf: I really tried, but something went wrong halfway through the picture. Hope you like it anyway.
Brief (or not) History: When Shizumi was born, her brothers and sisters were stillborn and her father was slaughtered, lying beside her mother. Shizumi could hear the world crying upon birth. Could hear it's sorrowful tears as they hit the very heart of her soul. Her father was a rouge wolf, not born in either the Hakari tribe or the Yami tribe. Her mother was a hybred, born from a Yami wolf and a Hakari wolf, making little Shizumi belonging to no one.
Her mother, wounded heavily but determined to escape the field of blood in which thye lay in, carried new born Shizumi all the way onto the Hakari land. Their, she collapsed and began to tend to her wounds, always keeping an eye on her new pup. Unlike normal pups, Shizumi did not whimper, or cry, but merely lay still, twitching her little nose as scents assulted her. For Hikari was born with both full sight, and full hearing. But no voice. It was only until Shizumi was old enough to speak though, that her mother found this out. By then, she had grown old and sickly.
Shizumi had grown into a beautiful she-wolf. With silvery blue fur like moonlight on water, and deep silver blue eyes like the deepest depths of the ocean under a full lit night, Shizumi was breathtaking. Agile and wiry, Shizumi had a thirst for knowledge. She hunted through the nights, for food, shelter, and new things. Her mother, now unable to care for herself or Shizumi, left her life in her daughter's hands.
But it was not long until her mother sensed her time had come.
When it did, Shizumi was presented with her father's mask. A Dhole skull, with a cross marking under the left eye. Her mother told her her father had mixed his blood with the mud of the land and paint it on himself. Being a rouge wolf, her father had been considered dangerous, but also an alley. Shizumi truly looked up to the father she had never known. She thirsted for the lands that her mother spoke of in her stories. The lands where he came from.
Then her mother, ripping her ear, gave her the silver piercing that had glinted in the darkest of nights. "Take these, and remember us Shizumi. We are neighter Hakari, or Yami wolves. It is your choice on what you want to be. So choose wisely." her mother whispered. And with a final kiss, her mother died and Shizumi was left alone in the world.
Shizumi grieved for her mother, her brohters and sisters, adn for her father for three days and three nights. When her grieving ended, she hunted and she set out furhter into the Hakari land. Here, she would find answers. Her heart said. And if it was one thing Shizumi did do, she always followed her instincts. Age 2 and yearning for a home, Shizumi stalked the Hakari Tribe, watching their movements and learning their ways. As she did so, she felt a strong connection with them. She had studied the Yami tribe before and although she felt a connection with them, her heart said to turn away. So Shizumi did.
When Shizumi first encountered the alpha of the tribe, having being caught by the Soldiers, she was stuned. He was tall and magnificent. He sent her heart racing and her blood pulsing. It was like the first time she had laid eyes on the light side of the moon. The first time she had touched the silky smoothness of water and it's limitless power. It was like she had been born again. Shizumi presented her wish to join their tribe, explaining her thirst for knowledge and her lack of a home. But when the question fo her heritage came up, Shizumi grew scittish. She had no way to tell them. No way to declare both her fear, and her pride at being the daughter of a mother with two tribes and a father with none.
And then a miracle happened.
The moon shone and the water glittered in the air around her, for her eyes were very keen and able to make out the small particles of water in the air, and the Alpha nodded and welcomed her to the tribe. It was impossible. It shouldn't of happened. But it did.
And Shizumi had a family again.
She trained hard and loing, never playing with the other pups and always choosing to study. She grew stronger and faster, her senses keener than most. Having no voice, she was not burdened by the sound of it and her senses were easily allowed to explore the world more thoroughly. Her skills in her power grew and she began to be able to manipulate the water in the air, able to create and destroy water whenever she wanted to. As time passed, Shizumi was granted the right to the position of Scholar, and her heart soared with triumph. Shizumi became respected for her knowledge and was often asked for guidance. But Shizumi didn't let this get to her head. No, she continued to work hard. She humbled herself when the time asked for it, and she showed a fierce passion for nature when it was needed.
And yet, through the times, she still carried that long love she had for the alpha. Yes, it had been love she had felt that first day upon seeing him. Love for this handsome, and tall leader. Love for this wolf that had changed her life so. She did not love for looks, but for his heart. For looks meant little, if nothing, to her.

Thanks. I greatly appreciate that. It's the first female character I've create in a long, long time.
